Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello

My card today uses the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello stamp set, one that you may not have seen yet. It is a brand new one, available from the 4th January 2022, along with the pretty Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper.

I fell in love this with gorgeous little bird as soon as I saw it, and am so grateful that I am able to earn free goodies from Stampin’ Up! just for choosing to be a demonstrator and share what I love doing. And of course, it’s always fun to receive free things, and this is one that you can also receive for free during this coming January/February Sale-a-Bration.

Cute little birdie is coloured using the Stampin’ Up! Watercolour pencils, but with no water involved, just coloured with the pencils.
Isn’t this just the most gorgeous image?
I have also stamped on the inside of the card with a smaller image from the same set, also coloured with the pencils.

While this one is only available to demonstrators prior to the 4th January, if you really want it, you could join my Stampin’ Up! family of demonstrators, with all the benefits that go along with that.
Of course there are always the items that are on the Last Chance List and in the Clearance Rack to craft with until January, and I will be posting up some projects using those soon.
Happy stamping!

Blossoms in Bloom Thank You Card

Today’s card is a very quick and easy card, made using the gorgeous Blossoms in Bloom stamp set.

The Blossoms in Bloom stamp was inked up in Fresh Freesia ink, such a pretty colour! I have just added a strip of Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper to the left of the main image, and that’s it – so quick and easy but effective and pretty. Cardmaking at it’s easiest.

We are having another very wet day here, with our river flooding and plenty more rain forecast. So grateful we live high on a hill. Guessing it will be a weekend of staying warm and dry and doing some crafting!
I have the new catalogues, so if you are in Australia and would like a copy sent to you, please feel free to reach out to me, either leave a comment here, or send me an email – dotdotstamping@gmail.com and I will get them in the post to you. Lots of lovely goodies in those catalogues!!
And don’t forget, you can always order Stampin’ Up! products from my online store 24/7.
Happy Stamping!

Fresh Freesia Blossoms in Bloom

I made this card on my weekly Wed morning Facebook Live, featuring the Blossoms in Bloom Bundle.
I seem to be having one of those weeks where things just don’t quite turn out how I had imagined they would or even how my practice one did. Ah well, I have to start embracing the imperfect.
Except in this case, I managed to get glue on the back of the card during the live, so I have trimmed the original cardbase, and attached that to another cardbase in the same gorgeous Fresh Freesia colour (so pretty!!).

The flowers have been inked with Fresh Freesia and Blushing Bride using sponge daubers to keep the colours soft and subtle. I have then stamped the centres using some Pale Papaya ink.
I’m still not happy with it, but yes, embracing the imperfect!!
Don’t forget…. free shipping on orders over $45 today, you can pop an order through for all those goodies you will need to create with over the holidays while you are recovering from Christmas!!
And don’t forget the Clearance Rack!

Happy Stamping!

Global Design Project Colour Challenge

I do love a challenge, especially a papercrafting challenge. So my card today uses the colours from the Global Design Project’s current colour challenge.

Definitely Christmassy colours, however I have been making heaps of Christmas cards, so decided not to make a Christmas card with these colours!
I have stamped the flowers with black Stazon ink and then coloured them with a Blender Pen and Cherry Cobbler ink, then fussy cut them and popped them onto the card with a glue dot to give them a little bit of height.

The background is swish of watercolouring using a Water Painter, lots of water and some Mint Macaron ink. It’s interesting that it looks a very different colour in the photo to the Mint Macaron cardstock of the butterfly.

I hope you are having a successful day with your creating.
Happy stamping!

Masculine Monday Intricate Leaves Dies Card

Stampin’ Up!s Intricate Leaves Dies are a definite favourite of mine from the current mini catalogue, and are also on the Last Chance list, so will no longer be available after the 3rd January.

The combination of the Intricate Leaves Dies, with the Cork and the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper, makes for an easy masculine card.
If you would like to order the products to make this card, you can use this link which will take you directly to my projects, where you will find this card. Simply click on the card and all of the products you would need will be listed.
Don’t forget to join me live every Monday morning (Eastern Australian time) on my Facebook page, for Masculine Monday. I am hoping that I might have some new goodies to use by then. Crossing fingers!!
Happy stamping

Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Sponged Card

My card today features the flower outline stamp from the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Stamp Set. The card is quite simple and a great way to introduce beginner stampers to the joy of easy stamping. The white centre panel has been sponged using the Blending Brushes, using Polished Pink, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight. You can see the live demonstration of me making this card here.
And don’t forget you can place your order for any of your Stampin’ Up! necessities any time on my online store.

Happy stamping!

Blackberry Beauty

Just a quick post today to share a card that I made, using this tutorial from Mary Fish.
When I saw the card on her blog, I just knew I had to create one. So simple yet stunning.

And it uses my all time favourite of all of my favourites, the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper.

Happy stamping!

Black and White Christmas

It’s been quite a while since I shared here, and definitely time to get back into blogging.

So let’s get straight into it!! I have made a fairly simple card, a black and white Christmas card which features the cute bird from the Happy Holly-Days stamp set, and Christmas greeting from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set.

The corners have been punched out using the Holly Border Punch.

Don’t you just love that bird? Gorgeous for colouring but equally beautiful just like that!! I’ve stamped using just Momento Black ink.

The Male Room have a Black and White challenge happening, so I am going to add this one.

I hope each of you are coping with the situation around the world. Keep crafting and keep smiling.

Happy stamping!

Firstly today, I am very excited to let you know that I am now a member of the Design Team for Cardz 4 Guyz, and so will be posting heaps more masculine cards for you.  The challenge is fortnightly, and I hope you will share your projects with us and pop in and check out what is going on.  Here is the link to the challenge blog: https://cardz4guyz.blogspot.com/

Today I am sharing my first card as a member of the Design Team, and fittingly, the theme is Music.  You may not be aware that I was a professional musician in a former part of my life and still play a lot of music, these days as an amateur in support of my son who also plays an instrument.

Cardz4Guyz Music Card

The only stamping on this card is the sentiment.  Everything else is from various sets of Designer Series Papers.  The music and wood background papers are both from Pressed Petals Designer Series Papers, and the gorgeous little bird has been fussy cut out of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Papers.
The sentiment is normally straight but since it is a photopolymer stamp, I have curved it onto the clear block, to create some nice shape.

Why not come on over to Cardz4Guyz and check out what the rest of the Design Team have been doing with this challenge.
Happy stamping!
Chris

The Art of Writing

My card today features some different Designer Series Papers to the ones I have been using recently.
Writing Card

The lovely stripey one in the background is from the Come Sail Away DSP, I love the soft colour, it would be wonderful for baby cards or feminine cards, or… well, any cards really.
Down the sides of the DSP, I have used a piercing tool to make the holes and then joined the dots using a marker.  It went a bit wobbly in a couple of places – I need more practice!

The pen and ink bottle have been fussy cut from the Follow Your Art DSP.
The words are from the New Wonders Host stamp set, and the background layer has been embossed with the Subtle embossing folder.

The Male Room card challenges have a Multiple Layers challenge happening at the moment, so I think this one qualifies.

Have a crafty weekend!
Chris
