Hello, Irresistible

As soon as I saw this divine Designer Series Paper, it became a “must have”. Actually a “must have immediately!!” Such beautiful colours and designs.

My set of cards is inspired by one made by a US demonstrator, Amy Koenders from stampwithamyk.com.

The only stamping on these cards are the sentiments, everything else is from the DSP pack. This first card is similar to the one Amy made, and then I’ve used different colours from the DSP.

Which one do you like best? Originally I thought the first was my favourite but today it’s the middle one. Maybe tomorrow I will like a different one best.

If you love this paper as much as I do, and you live in Australia, you can order this through me. It’s not in any of the catalogues though, this is only available for a short time.

Happy stamping

Chris

A Special Thank You

Today’s card is a Birthday Card, made for a very special lady, who single handedly allowed my Stampin’ Up! business to stay afloat in 2022.

Not only did she consistently place orders with me, but she collected them from a neighbour as well. Enough orders so that I could continue as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator into 2023 and beyond.

So, Anne, thank you is not enough, thank you with all my heart, for all that you have done to help me in the last year. And Happy Birthday.

Every demonstrator needs an Anne!!

The card I made for Anne uses the Abigail Rose Designer Series paper, this time coloured with Watercolour pencils.

The stamped panel uses stamps from the Sentimental Rose kit. And one of the things I most love about Stampin’ Blends is being able to change the colour of the pearls.

The inside of the card features a fold over of the DSP with a separate pull out card underneath for words.

Happy Stamping everyone,

Chris

Handcrafted Journal

Today I am sharing something I have been working on over the past few days, my very first handcrafted Journal.

I have rather a lot of retired Designer Series Paper – I have a bit of a DSP addiction!! I love it all, and I do use it on my cards and other projects but invariably, there seems to be plenty left over.

So my Journal uses all retired Stampin’ Up!items other than some photocopy paper which I have combined with DSP for the pages, and the Muesli Bar box which was upcycled to form the cover of the Journal.

Each page is different, some are stamped, some have hand cut birds, most are sponged, spritzed and splattered. I had a lot of fun!!

And all the pages are properly bound into the cover.

I absolutely loved making this project and I can see a lot more of them happening in the future, incorporating some mixed media techniques as well .

I think I’ll start on the Jatz box tomorrow!!

Happy stamping, sponging, spritzing and splattering!!

Chris

You’re A Peach

Today I have been playing with the Embossing Paste for the first time, trying a few things out and experimenting, which is always fun.

This card is made up almost entirely of the You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper, with the only stamping being the sentiment.

Behind the peaches, on the green background, I have created a little bit of texture by putting some of the paste directly onto the DSP through one of the Decorative Masks. It’s quite subtle but adds just a little extra interest. Here’s a close up…

All the peaches and flowers were fussy cut from the Designer Series Paper.

So there is my first play with the paste. Stay tuned for some more!!

Happy stamping!

Sweet Sailing Kitties

A quick post today to share a giggle… This is the card I made for my son for Christmas. Since he loves to sail, it had to have sailing boats included….

We have three cats, a big part of our family, who we both adore, so the kitty faces from Sweet Little Stockings was another obvious choice. Combine the two things and our three rascal cats are sailing with their Santa hats on. I had some fun creating this one.

The proportions are not quite right but its pretty cute anyway.

In the background, the water is the new Gentle Waves background stamp, and the boats from the Let’s Set Sail stamp set and matching punch, all available from the 4th January 2022 in the new Mini Catalogue.

The kitties and their hats were coloured with the Stampin’ Up! Watercolour pencils.

Happy stamping!

I found Scraps!!

Well, yes, of course I did! Sorting out everything over the weekend and as I was going through my cardstock I realised I had rather a lot of those pesky strips of scrap, in every colour possible. So I decided to use them on my Masculine Monday card.

This is the same layout that I have used for a few cards recently but I thought it would be fun to show yet another variation. My card also uses the new Gingham Embossing Folder, available in January 2022. Love the texture it adds to the card.

I wonder how many other ideas I can come up with to use up the scraps. Do you have any ways you like to use your scraps?

Happy stamping,

Chris

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello

My card today uses the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello stamp set, one that you may not have seen yet. It is a brand new one, available from the 4th January 2022, along with the pretty Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper.

I fell in love this with gorgeous little bird as soon as I saw it, and am so grateful that I am able to earn free goodies from Stampin’ Up! just for choosing to be a demonstrator and share what I love doing. And of course, it’s always fun to receive free things, and this is one that you can also receive for free during this coming January/February Sale-a-Bration.

Cute little birdie is coloured using the Stampin’ Up! Watercolour pencils, but with no water involved, just coloured with the pencils.
Isn’t this just the most gorgeous image?
I have also stamped on the inside of the card with a smaller image from the same set, also coloured with the pencils.

While this one is only available to demonstrators prior to the 4th January, if you really want it, you could join my Stampin’ Up! family of demonstrators, with all the benefits that go along with that.
Of course there are always the items that are on the Last Chance List and in the Clearance Rack to craft with until January, and I will be posting up some projects using those soon.
Happy stamping!

Do you Love Stampin’ Up! ?

I do! I can admit it. I love the products. I love the community. I love the culture. I love the acceptance. I love that everyone helps each other.
And I would love to find some new team members to add to my Stampin’ Up! family, so that you can experience it, too.
And it’s a fantastic time to join us, for the next two days it costs just $130 to join and get your choice of Stampin’ Up! products to the value of $235. What’s not to love?

If you don’t want to run a business, that’s ok too, you can join to get a discount on your products, after all, paying $130 to get and an extra $105 of freebies is definitely worth it! Especially when you get to choose which products you want.

Unfortunately I can only accept Australian team members, however if you are anywhere in Australia and would like to know more, please reach out to me by email at dotdotstamping@gmail.com or if you just want to jump straight in and join up, here is the link to do that online.

Jump in and make the most of this fantastic special.
Happy stamping!

Christmas Puppy

I just thought this little fellow and his companions were the cutest ever, and since we have three four legged family members, it was a must have from my wish list for Christmas cards.

I have quite a few Christmas cards made now, but none sent!! Somehow, it doesn’t quite feel like Christmas yet. Is it just me or are you feeling like that, too?

Since there are some fairly serious delays in shipping and postage times I really had better start sending them out. Who would like a Christmas card? I think we all need some happy mail this year!!

This cute fellow comes from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set and matching Dies, and I’ve used some of the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper in the background.

Happy Stamping,

Chris

Blackberry Beauty

Just a quick post today to share a card that I made, using this tutorial from Mary Fish.
When I saw the card on her blog, I just knew I had to create one. So simple yet stunning.

And it uses my all time favourite of all of my favourites, the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper.

Happy stamping!
