Easter Bunny is coming…..

….so I thought I had better get on and make some Easter cards.
Again, I have used the Oval Framelits along with the very cute Everybunny stamp set – too cute!
I am a bit addicted to banners and flags on my cards at the moment, so I have used the gorgeous Tea For Two Designer Series Papers to create them here, and some brads to “secure” them at the top.  Little bunny has been heat embossed using black embossing powder and then coloured using inks and a blender pen.
You can contact me if you would like more information about any of the products I have used for this card, and since Easter is less than a month away, contact me also to order your Easter stamps and papers now so that you have some time to create something special for someone special! 🙂
Hope you have a crafty weekend.  Happy Stamping!

Patterned Occasions

I couldn’t resist this gorgeous stamp set, called Patterned Occasions, mainly because of the cute little Ellie…. isn’t he gorgeous?
So I have spent some of my morning making up some thank you cards for my customers. I have also used the Sycamore Street papers – love the colours!

Don’t forget, you can also get this stamp set, and also the papers, during the Sale-a-Bration promotion, between now and the 22nd March.  You get one product free for every $100 spent, and there are heaps of lovely things that you can get free.  Love it!
Just send me an email if you would like to make the most of the Sale-a-Bration promotion, and place an order.

Sorry for the short post today, I am a little weary, having spent the weekend in Sydney.  Be back real soon with some yummy new stuff from the new catalogue (rubbing hands together!) 🙂
Happy stamping!

Bordering on Romance CASE

I wanted to make a card for our lovely neighbour who has been unwell for some time and recently had an operation, and when I saw the “August” card in this fabulous line up of cards on Kathy Tanners blog, I just knew I had to CASE it!
It’s also been a while since I did some serious water colouring and thought it would be a good time to get some practice in.

I did however do the watercolouring on Whisper White card stock.  Watercolouring with inks works best on watercolour paper…. yes, really…. 🙂 as it absorbs the water, whereas the Whisper White card stock can’t absorb as much and can easily become scuffed up.  So I have used a Blender pen and added the colour as quickly as possible and with as few strokes of the brush as possible.  Nevertheless I am not entirely happy with how it turned out.  More practice required!

So I made another one…….

I just love purple!

There is a third one, but you will have to wait a few days to see it! 🙂  and you never know, I may feel inspired to make a fourth 🙂
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Freshly Made Sketches #65

Sharing a card today that I have made for my sister, who owns a farm with lots of apple trees.  And I have used the sketch from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches.

I have used a combination of the Perfectly Preserved and Polar Party Stamp Sets, along with the Be Of Good Cheer patterned papers in some traditional Christmas colours.
Here is the sketch:

Hope you are finding time to do some Christmas stamping too.

Clean and Simple Kitchen

No, I am not asking you to go clean up your kitchen, it is this week’s challenge theme at Our Creative Corner.  Meihsia’s challenge is to create a Clean and Simple card featuring something you would see in the kitchen.

I have used the coffee cup from the fantastic Scentsational Season stamp set (page 16 Holiday Catalogue), and while this is definitely meant to be a Christmas set, I didn’t want to make a Christmas card this time, so I punched out the For You sentiment from the Mixed Medley stamp set, one of the new Hostess Sets in the Holiday Catalogue, and layered that over the snowflake image.  The image is cut using the matching dies, which can be bought in a bundle with the stamp set.
The patterned paper is from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack, and also the woodgrain is from the Natural Composition Specialty papers.

So please join in this week, we always love to see what you come up with for our challenges.  The rest of the projects from the Design Team can be seen here.

Happy Stamping!

Recycle It… With a Pop of Green!

Another really great challenge this week at Our Creative Corner.

So, what did I recycle?
Well, I had an old tin that originally had some yummy chai tea in it, and I didn’t want to throw away the tin once the tea had been used, but didn’t quite know what to do with it.  But it has had a makeover and now holds my paper clips!
So the tin has been recycled for a new use, and I have used some denim from the pair of my son’s old jeans that I started cutting up a few weeks ago!
Actually I think I have also “recycled” some of the recent challenges as well 🙂 – last week’s challenge was to use some office supplies (check – there is a paper clip on the lid), and the previous week was to use denim (check).
I have also used the very yummy Twitterpated patterned papers, and a tiny bit of the new Comfort Cafe patterned papers, just poking out from under the denim.  And of course, those butterflies… the top two layers use the Beautiful Wings Embosslits, and the larger blue butterfly is the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, through the Big Shot.
Check out what the rest of the Design Team have made for this challenge, and if you have any questions about this project, feel free to send me an email.

Office Supplies

Our Creative Corner challenge this week from Kim Price is to use Office Supplies on our creation, along with lots of the colour red!  Yes, office supplies, as in staples, post-it notes, string, sticky tape…. you get the idea.

So I went searching to see what I could find that would fit in with those criteria.  My card is inspired by Deb Fearns, a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and friend from when I was living in Canberra.  Deb has used some of the doilies from the Flirtatious Specialty papers, cut them and coloured them to look like cogs.  I just wanted mine to look a bit like a wheel, but I love this clever idea for using up some retiring bits and pieces.  I have also used the retiring Well Worn DSP, which are fantastic for male cards.
The stamp set is The Open Sea, which becomes available again on the 1st Sept (Yay… love this set!), and I have used string, staples and a clip as my office supplies.

I do hope you will play along with us this week, this challenge is so much fun.  And have a look to see what the rest of the fabulous Design Team have created for some inspiration.
Happy stamping!
