Milk Carton Box

I found a fabulous tutorial on making these gorgeous little Milk Carton Boxes yesterday.  The tutorial is by Sam Hammond Donald, and you can find the link to the video tutorial here.
Definitely check that one out, Sam does some amazing tutorials.  Thanks Sam.
So, here is my version…..

Blue Box 1

I have used the gorgeous Balmy Blue cardstock and then stamped butterflies from Butterfy Gala stamp set and some flowers from the Happy Birthday stamp set, also in Balmy Blue.  And finished it off with a tiny peg that I had in my stash.
So cute.
They are just the right size to fill up with some chocolates, or some little Easter Eggs…. Hmmmmm……  Easter Eggs.
I may have to make another one of these for Easter inspiration 🙂

Easter is nearly here…

This week’s Crafty Boots challenge is, of course, Easter.  I wonder what special things you will do for Easter?  Do you have family traditions?
Here in Australia, it is Autumn and the days are getting shorter and cooler, and we are getting prepared for the cold months ahead.  So for us, Easter is not a time when the flowers are emerging and spring is in the air, and we often celebrate Easter with fires lit and warmer clothes starting to appear.  I think I will get my knitting out!
In any case, it is a good excuse to stay cosily inside stamping and crafting! 🙂

My Easter card today uses a beautiful image from Angels Landing, which I have coloured with Copics. I have combined it with some pretty papers from my stash, and the words from the Stampin’ Up! Hello You Thinlits Dies and Crazy About You stamp set.

Wishing all of you a Happy Easter!  And I hope you will share your Easter projects with us at Crafty Boots Challenges – we love to see what you have been making!
Happy stamping!

Easter Craft

Just a quick post this evening to share with you some of the things I have been doing over Easter.
Firstly, the card I made for Jamie for Easter….

And also I scarf I made for him.  He specifically asked me to crochet it, so I had to very quickly re-learn some skills which I haven’t used for quite a few years.  I found it really relaxing to do, so the crochet hooks might be getting a bit more of a workout in future 🙂

The photo was obviously taken in a rather strange light this afternoon, as the scarf is definitely a very bright red, and not hot pink!

Hope you had some time to indulge in a little crafty time over Easter.
Happy stamping!
Chris

Easter Bunny is coming…..

….so I thought I had better get on and make some Easter cards.
Again, I have used the Oval Framelits along with the very cute Everybunny stamp set – too cute!
I am a bit addicted to banners and flags on my cards at the moment, so I have used the gorgeous Tea For Two Designer Series Papers to create them here, and some brads to “secure” them at the top.  Little bunny has been heat embossed using black embossing powder and then coloured using inks and a blender pen.
You can contact me if you would like more information about any of the products I have used for this card, and since Easter is less than a month away, contact me also to order your Easter stamps and papers now so that you have some time to create something special for someone special! 🙂
Hope you have a crafty weekend.  Happy Stamping!
Chris
