Quick post today, with a reminder to share your Christmas cards with us at Crafty Boots Challenges.
Here is another one of mine for you….
Lots of triangles punched out of the Trim the Tree DSP Stack to create the tree, and then I have run the entire layer through the big shot with the Argyle embossing folder to create the lovely textured look.
I must attempt to take photos when the sun is shining, this one is looking a little shadowy, but we have had so much rain, and heaps of storms recently that it has been difficult to find the sun some days.
So, let’s see ’em! We want to see your Christmas cards! 🙂

This week’s Crafty Boots Challenge is to make a project for Remembrance Day.
I wanted to do something a little different for this challenge, so decided on a masculine sympathy card.
I have used some “camouflage” patterned paper, which I discovered amongst my stash of papers, and layered this over some Early Espresso cardstock. Â Then I have done some of my favourite “faux stitching” around the edge of the patterned paper. Â The words come from the Bloom With Hope stamp set, and the frame has been run through the Big Shot with one of the Fun Frames embossing folders. Â Some Linen Thread knotted in the centre, and some small silver brads in the corners of the frame for some finishing touches.
I have a very busy week ahead of me, but after this week, I will be back with more craft. Â Promise!

New Designer Series Papers = more excuses to make stuff! Â Right?
Well, ok, who needs excuses….. just had to make some cute little boxes to show off some of the gorgeous new papers!
These boxes use both the Envelope Punch Board, and the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
This first one combines the Lullaby DSP with some Hello Honey coloured cardstock, some gold Baker’s twine and a tag made from the Occasions stamp set (part of the Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit), and  the Artisan Label punch.

And a second box, a little bigger, but made in the same way, this time using the absolutely stunning papers from the Gold Soiree DSP. Â Wouldn’t this make a gorgeous box for a wedding gift?
This box has a layer of Vellum around it, and is tied with some of the gorgeous Gold Ribbon.

A quick post today to show the card I have made for this week’s Just Add Ink challenge.
My card again uses lots of new goodies from the soon-t0-be released new catalogue, but I am having so much fun playing with new stuff that I just can’t help myself! 🙂
The card uses a Project Life card which I have stamped the image onto, then done some paper piercing around the arrow to highlight it, and the cute bicycle image is from the new hostess stamp set Life’s Adventure.

Here are the cards that we made at my Wetlands Stamp-a-Stack on Wed evening. Â We all had a good time, lots of laughs, creativity and the lovely ladies went home with 6 cards each.
Keeping things short and sweet today, lots of “stuff” going on in my life at present, mostly to do with a new kitchen that is starting to take shape.  So crafting has taken a bit of a back seat for a while, but I assure that won’t continue for long!! 🙂  So keep checking back, I might even post some kitchen photos soon.

I just wanted to pop up a quick post this evening to share the good bags that I made for my catalogue launch parties this week. Â I love the way Stampin’ Up! co-ordinates things so beautifully.
I have used plain brown paper bags to put everyone’s catalogues and other goodies into, which I have then added some of the new patterned papers to, and a matching tag.
In this case I have used the gorgeous Eastern Elegance Designer Series Papers (Page 154 Annual Catalogue), with a strip of Crushed Curry cardstock. Â The tag has been made using the Chalk Talk stamp set (Page 12) and matching Chalk Talk Framelits (Page 187), along with some of the gorgeous new Chevron Ribbon in Smokey Slate (Page 173).
The photo doesn’t do justice to the colours, we had rather a dull day here in Canberra today, so it was a bit difficult to take a better  photo.

This week’s Dynamic Duos challenge is to use the colour Primrose Petals and combine it with a colour of your choice. Â Well, now that just leaves it too open for me, too many possibilities and ideas……
I decided on combining my favourite colours of all, pink and purple….. so I have added Elegant Eggplant to the Primrose Petals.
My card uses two techniques that I haven’t played with for a long time. Â Firstly, the Stained Glass technique, combined with the Tissue Paper technique.
To do this, I have embossed the Swallowtail in white embossing powder onto the smooth side of the Crepe Filter Paper (page 6 Seasonal Catalogue) – if you feel the paper really carefully you will notice that one side is slightly smoother and the other side a little more rough. The Stained Glass technique is usually done onto Vellum, which is much stronger than the crepe paper, so I wasn’t sure how this would turn out.
Then on the back, behind the butterfly image, I have coloured using inks and a blender pen, in the two colours, blending them together.
I embossed an extra butterfly to experiment with, and gave this one to my son. Â He coloured the back of the butterfly directly with brightly coloured markers, and that worked really well too, so you could do either of these. Â However, it does work best if the colouring is on the back of the embossed image.
I have then wrapped the crepe paper over a piece of Shimmer White cardstock, and stuck it behind the cardstock using glue to keep it in place. Â If you are using standard tissue paper for this technique, it is nice to scrunch up the paper to give it more texture, and then smooth it out again, but this crepe paper is a little heavier and I thought it would detract from the image, so I left it flat.
While you can’t see it in the photo, the shimmer of the cardstock does show through the crepe paper.
The lace, seam binding ribbon and gorgeous resin rose, are all from the Artisan Embellishment Kit (page 10 Seasonal Catalogue).
As always, heaps of inspiration from the rest of the Design Team at Dynamic Duos, all using different colours for their creations.

….so I thought I had better get on and make some Easter cards.
Again, I have used the Oval Framelits along with the very cute Everybunny stamp set – too cute!
I am a bit addicted to banners and flags on my cards at the moment, so I have used the gorgeous Tea For Two Designer Series Papers to create them here, and some brads to “secure” them at the top. Â Little bunny has been heat embossed using black embossing powder and then coloured using inks and a blender pen.
