Our Creative Corner challenge this week from Kim Price is to use Office Supplies on our creation, along with lots of the colour red! Yes, office supplies, as in staples, post-it notes, string, sticky tape…. you get the idea.
So I went searching to see what I could find that would fit in with those criteria. My card is inspired by Deb Fearns, a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and friend from when I was living in Canberra. Deb has used some of the doilies from the Flirtatious Specialty papers, cut them and coloured them to look like cogs. I just wanted mine to look a bit like a wheel, but I love this clever idea for using up some retiring bits and pieces. I have also used the retiring Well Worn DSP, which are fantastic for male cards.
The stamp set is The Open Sea, which becomes available again on the 1st Sept (Yay… love this set!), and I have used string, staples and a clip as my office supplies.
I do hope you will play along with us this week, this challenge is so much fun. And have a look to see what the rest of the fabulous Design Team have created for some inspiration.
Happy stamping!
Chris
Chris! This office supply card is so worthy of admiration! I love the masculine twist you put on this. The textures mimic the movement of the water and the colors and layout are just fantastic. I really love what you’ve thought up for this challenge. Nicely done. 🙂

Hello Chris
I admire anyone who can produce a male card and make it look great, and this is what you have done here; the design is wonderful. You have created so much movement with your string and doily, aka wheel, and adding the Ship enhances this feeling
