CAS Sketch Challenge

Another card that I made for a challenge again today, and I ended up featuring the Quiet Meadow stamp set again. It seems to be a current favourite! I do like the different elements in this set, which combine so beautifully with many other stamps.

My card uses the largest die from the Beautiful Leaves Dies as a background behind the flowers.

The flowers from Quiet Meadows have been coloured using an Aqua Brush with inks, and then fussy cut (the dies will be in my next order!!) and I have used some of the leaves from Beauty of Tomorrow stamp set to complete my posy of flowers. I have added a few splodges of colour, very lightly to add a little more of the pretty Pale Papaya colour.

Here is the sketch from CAS Colors and Sketches which I used as inspiration for this card.

I hope you are having a crafty week!
Happy stamping.

Sketch Challenge

I do love a sketch when it comes to card making and scrap booking. The only issue I have is trying to narrow down all the ideas that spring to mind.

Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. And, I’ve made a Christmas Card!!  It seems too early to be making Christmas cards, but perhaps I’m just putting it off.

I have used some pretty baubles which I found on a piece of gorgeous patterned paper from my stash. I cut the baubles out and sponged the edges for a little depth. Aren’t they pretty?

The strip of silver along the side and the silver in the ribbon hasn’t shown up sparkly like it does in real life, probably because we have had days and days of overcast and rainy weather which has made my photos turn out a little dull. Not complaining though, we need the rain here.

I hope you like my first Christmas card for the year, I wonder who I will send this one to.

Happy stamping!

Autumn at The Male Room!

We are having an Autumn Challenge this fortnight at The Male Room.

And while the weather over in the Northern Hemisphere is cooling down for Autumn, here in Australia it is definitely feeling like Spring.  Not quite warm enough for a swim at the beach, but I don’t think it will be long 🙂
My card for this challenge is a Clean and Simple (CAS) card, featuring one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! stamp sets….

Lovely As A Tree – yep, an oldie but a goodie, it has been around so long, and it is so very versatile.  And the splodges of colour are a stamp from the Work of Art stamp set.
Lots of Autumn inspiration from the rest of the Design Team at The Male Room, so make sure you pop on over and have a look.  And why not join in and share your Autumn projects with us.
Happy stamping!
