Well, yes, of course I did! Sorting out everything over the weekend and as I was going through my cardstock I realised I had rather a lot of those pesky strips of scrap, in every colour possible. So I decided to use them on my Masculine Monday card.
This is the same layout that I have used for a few cards recently but I thought it would be fun to show yet another variation. My card also uses the new Gingham Embossing Folder, available in January 2022. Love the texture it adds to the card.
I wonder how many other ideas I can come up with to use up the scraps. Do you have any ways you like to use your scraps?
You may have seen a few days ago, I shared a card that was the same design and layout as a card that I had made during a Facebook Live, so below is the one I made on the Live…….
It really just needed a little something extra, so while I was packing all of my craft stash in boxes for reorganising, I came across a simgle, lonely flower that was going to be for another project, and it was just right to pop on my card! The flower is from the Color and Contour stamp set, and I have added a little Wink of Stella to the centre of the flower as well. Much better!! Well, back to the reorganising, but I am glad I gave this lonely flower a home. Happy stamping! Chris
This image reminds me so much of the cheekiness that goes on in our house on a very regular basis, that I just had to use it on a card. So very cute!
The card uses some of the Whimsy and Wonder Designer Series Paper in the background – it looks gorgeous and full of rainbows in the photo, and it didn’t matter which angle I too the photo, there were rainbows! In reality it is a beautiful silver. And cheeky kitty comes from the Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper, which I have fussy cut. Both of these gorgeous Designer Series Papers will no longer be available once sold out. I hope you are getting some crafting time into your week. Happy stamping! Chris
My card today uses a combination of different elements which worked so well together to make a Christmas card to send off to family interstate. As a musician, the Merry Melody Embossing Folder is, of course, one that I had to have, and will keep forever! Thank goodness it is on the carry over list, so will still be available for a while yet. It’s gorgeous as a background for all sorts of cards but of course works beautifully for Christmas cards.
The Ever Eden Designer Series Paper was cut out using the Scalloped Contours Dies.
The Ever Eden DSP, and also the Intricate Leaves Dies are on the Last Chance List, so won’t be available after the 3rd of January 2022, make sure you get in now if you would like them, if they sell out before that date they won’t be available again. You can place orders through my online store 24/7 and they will be shipped straight to you.
Organising our craft stash seems to one of those ongoing things that is in a constant state of flux. I haven’t been happy with my set up, well, since we moved to this house over 6 years ago. In a recent discussion with my sister, she suggested that I use a Dresser that belonged to our parents and which has been stored at my sisters house since our beautiful Mum passed away 11 years ago. So, this weekend, the Dresser is being delivered here, (it’s currently about three and a half hours drive away) and so over the next few days, I am going to be packing much of my stamping and crafting stash into boxes so that I can then sort, cull and organise it into it’s new home. The bonus is that I will always have that little piece of my Mum and Dad with me while I am crafting. So for the next few days, the Big Brown Boxes will have a new use (other than cat toy!!), and crafting will be minimal.
I have a couple of posts scheduled so that you will still get some ideas and inspiration from me, and I plan to be Live on Facebook at 10am on Monday morning, for Masculine Monday.
I’m sure that these two rascals, along with their third rascal friend, will enjoy every minute of “helping” me with the packing, sorting and moving things around. Wish me luck!!
My card today features a new Designer Series Paper called Abstract Beauty, available from 4th January 2022. I made a similar card during my regular Wednesday morning Facebook Live, however the one I made live, I feel, needs an addition, so I will share that one with you soon. This card is the same layout and the same DSP, so you can get a feel for what I was doing in my facebook live. Or you can watch it here.
The card is very quick and easy to make, it also uses the Stockings Dies, which are unfortunately on the Last Chance list and are half price while stocks last.
The other thing to share with you today is that some of our Basic White items are back in stock, the Thick White Cardstock is now available, and also the White C6 Envelopes, so get in and order yourself some while they are available.

You may think I am a little obsessed with the Friendly Hello stamp set. You would be correct! It is so gorgeous and lovely to work with. It’s so pretty, with those gorgeous flower images and pretty colours in the matching Designer Series Paper. However, I wanted to show that it can be used for more neutral or even masculine cards, so used it during my Masculine Monday Facebook Live this morning. This is the original design that I put together before I went Live…..
And I decided to use the same elements but change the layout…. there’s nothing like improvising during a Facebook Live, it keeps it interesting!!
For the second card, I fussy cut the bird after stamping it, to remove the flowers and make it more masculine.
Which do you like better? If you prefer not to watch video on Facebook, you can find many of my Facebook Lives now on my youTube channel, make sure you Subscribe so that you know when something new has been added. While the stamps and Designer Series Papers I have used for this card are not available until January 4th 2022, make sure you check out what’s available in the Clearance Rack, there are some great specials available. However, if you really want this gorgeous stamp set, and you want it right now (and if you live in Australia), I would love to have you join my family of demonstrators, and you can join my team here. As a new demonstrator you have early access to all of the upcoming new goodies!!
My card today uses the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello stamp set, one that you may not have seen yet. It is a brand new one, available from the 4th January 2022, along with the pretty Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper.
I fell in love this with gorgeous little bird as soon as I saw it, and am so grateful that I am able to earn free goodies from Stampin’ Up! just for choosing to be a demonstrator and share what I love doing. And of course, it’s always fun to receive free things, and this is one that you can also receive for free during this coming January/February Sale-a-Bration.
Cute little birdie is coloured using the Stampin’ Up! Watercolour pencils, but with no water involved, just coloured with the pencils. Isn’t this just the most gorgeous image? I have also stamped on the inside of the card with a smaller image from the same set, also coloured with the pencils.
While this one is only available to demonstrators prior to the 4th January, if you really want it, you could join my Stampin’ Up! family of demonstrators, with all the benefits that go along with that. Of course there are always the items that are on the Last Chance List and in the Clearance Rack to craft with until January, and I will be posting up some projects using those soon. Happy stamping! Chris
As I always do on a Saturday during the spring and summer, I spent my day at the lake watching my son sail.
But there’s plenty of time while rigging and de-rigging and all the rest, for me to need something to do. So today I stamped some images from one of the stamp sets from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalogue (just one of many perks of being a demonstrator, is early access to products before they are released to the public), and took my watercolour pencils for some relaxing colouring.
Maybe tomorrow I will show you one of the finished projects.
If you are in Australia and would like a catalogue, send me an email, I have the right here and can send one out to you. dotdotstamping@gmail.com
