Colour Creations Stampin’Up! Bubble Bath

This week in our Colour Creations Blog Hop we are featuring the beautiful pale pink, Bubble Bath.

I have used some of the Bright and Beautiful Designer Series Paper for my background, a gorgeous ombre look, adhered to a thick Basic White cardbase. The reverse side of this sheet of DSP has bubbles in pink and if you look closely at the top where the very pale pink and white areas are, you can just see the bubbles from the reverse side – not intentional on my part, but I like the added dimension.

Over the Designer Series Paper, I have used various elements from the Gorgeously Made Dies, ( which I may be a little obsessed with at present), in Smoky Slate and Night of Navy, as well as Bubble Bath. The sentiment is from the Wildlife Wonder stamp set, stamped in Night of Navy ink.

Next along on our blog hop is Ros Davidson.

If at any time you find a broken link, please go to the blog of our Colour Creations host, Catherine Proctor, who will have a list of all of the participants in the Blog Hop.

Happy stamping, and happy hopping,
Chris

Colour Creations Stampin’Up! Wild Wheat

This week our Colour Creations Blog Hop is featuring Wild Wheat, and I have three different projects again this week. The first is a masculine card featuring the Wildlife Wonder stamp set, combined with a panel from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper.

I have kept the card quite simple, just the panel of DSP on a cardbase of Basic Black, and the stamping straight onto the DSP. The ink colours used are Wild Wheat and Black, with a touch of Pebbled Path for the birds and at the base of the “wheat”.
I have created a free Tutorial for this card, just click this link to find it.

My second project is a Scrappy Tag, meaning a tag using up some of those scraps and bits and pieces that I didn’t want to throw out. I have used the negative from a Die cut from a previous project, sponged in Wild Wheat ink, plus little bits and pieces of DSP. The butterfly is die cut from a scrap of Crushed Curry cardstock, and I’ve added some In Color Dots in Wild Wheat.

And my final project is another card, featuring the Zoo Crew DSP.

I have used Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the flowers on the black and white DSP, adding in some Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana to brighten the colours a little. And I’ve used the Sending Smiles stamp set and matching Sending Dies.

Now it’s time to hop on over to the very talented Rachel Palmieri to see what she has created with Wild Wheat.

If at any time you find a broken link, please go to the blog of this week’s host of the Colour Creations Blog Hop Cathy Proctor, who will have a list of all of the participants in the Blog Hop, where I’m sure you will find a heap more inspiration.

Happy Stamping, and Happy Hopping,
Chris

The Male Room Animals Challenge

For the month of March at The Male Room Craft Challenges, the focus is on projects featuring Animals.
The Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder stamp set fits the bill perfectly!
And I have gone a little different with my card, and used the Book Fold design, which is quite easy but a little different to a standard card.

The Wolf is stamped directly onto some of the New Horizons Designer Series Paper, along with some very soft and subtle images of the flower spikes. The strip of wood-look paper on the left is from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.
If you have been following along with my projects recently, you will know that I have started stamping the reverse side of the card:

And decorated the inside of the card with some strips of the same Designer Series Papers but left quite a lot of room for writing a message to the recipient.

I have left my card without a sentiment. For some reason I am feeling the need to create blank cards, cards that can be sent without a specific reason or sentiment attached, but more as a way of staying in touch.

Happy stamping
Chris.

Stampin’ Up! Wildlife Wonder Quick Card

Sometimes I just need to make a quick and easy card, that allows me to create without too much thought, or stress or time. And that’s what today’s card is. Quick, simple and easy.

The owl, a sentiment and a few sprays of flowers stamped directly onto the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper, which is then mounted straight onto a card base of Merry Merlot Cardstock.
Done!
Now I need to get on with cooking and getting food prepared for the next few days.

Happy stamping!
Chris
