Masculine Monday Friendly Hello

You may think I am a little obsessed with the Friendly Hello stamp set. You would be correct! It is so gorgeous and lovely to work with. It’s so pretty, with those gorgeous flower images and pretty colours in the matching Designer Series Paper. However, I wanted to show that it can be used for more neutral or even masculine cards, so used it during my Masculine Monday Facebook Live this morning.
This is the original design that I put together before I went Live…..

And I decided to use the same elements but change the layout…. there’s nothing like improvising during a Facebook Live, it keeps it interesting!!

For the second card, I fussy cut the bird after stamping it, to remove the flowers and make it more masculine.

Which do you like better?
If you prefer not to watch video on Facebook, you can find many of my Facebook Lives now on my youTube channel, make sure you Subscribe so that you know when something new has been added.
While the stamps and Designer Series Papers I have used for this card are not available until January 4th 2022, make sure you check out what’s available in the Clearance Rack, there are some great specials available.
However, if you really want this gorgeous stamp set, and you want it right now (and if you live in Australia), I would love to have you join my family of demonstrators, and you can join my team here. As a new demonstrator you have early access to all of the upcoming new goodies!!

Happy stamping!
Chris

Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello

My card today uses the Stampin’ Up! Friendly Hello stamp set, one that you may not have seen yet. It is a brand new one, available from the 4th January 2022, along with the pretty Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper.

I fell in love this with gorgeous little bird as soon as I saw it, and am so grateful that I am able to earn free goodies from Stampin’ Up! just for choosing to be a demonstrator and share what I love doing. And of course, it’s always fun to receive free things, and this is one that you can also receive for free during this coming January/February Sale-a-Bration.

Cute little birdie is coloured using the Stampin’ Up! Watercolour pencils, but with no water involved, just coloured with the pencils.
Isn’t this just the most gorgeous image?
I have also stamped on the inside of the card with a smaller image from the same set, also coloured with the pencils.

While this one is only available to demonstrators prior to the 4th January, if you really want it, you could join my Stampin’ Up! family of demonstrators, with all the benefits that go along with that.
Of course there are always the items that are on the Last Chance List and in the Clearance Rack to craft with until January, and I will be posting up some projects using those soon.
Happy stamping!
Chris

Blossoms in Bloom Thank You Card

Today’s card is a very quick and easy card, made using the gorgeous Blossoms in Bloom stamp set.

The Blossoms in Bloom stamp was inked up in Fresh Freesia ink, such a pretty colour! I have just added a strip of Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper to the left of the main image, and that’s it – so quick and easy but effective and pretty. Cardmaking at it’s easiest.

We are having another very wet day here, with our river flooding and plenty more rain forecast. So grateful we live high on a hill. Guessing it will be a weekend of staying warm and dry and doing some crafting!
I have the new catalogues, so if you are in Australia and would like a copy sent to you, please feel free to reach out to me, either leave a comment here, or send me an email – dotdotstamping@gmail.com and I will get them in the post to you. Lots of lovely goodies in those catalogues!!
And don’t forget, you can always order Stampin’ Up! products from my online store 24/7.
Happy Stamping!

Masculine Monday Intricate Leaves Dies Card

Stampin’ Up!s Intricate Leaves Dies are a definite favourite of mine from the current mini catalogue, and are also on the Last Chance list, so will no longer be available after the 3rd January.

The combination of the Intricate Leaves Dies, with the Cork and the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper, makes for an easy masculine card.
If you would like to order the products to make this card, you can use this link which will take you directly to my projects, where you will find this card. Simply click on the card and all of the products you would need will be listed.
Don’t forget to join me live every Monday morning (Eastern Australian time) on my Facebook page, for Masculine Monday. I am hoping that I might have some new goodies to use by then. Crossing fingers!!
Happy stamping

Using up the left overs.

I am on a mission to use up those bits and pieces that get saved from other projects. I seem to have an accumulation of these that never get used and they soon mount up. Am I the only one?

So today’s card came from the need to use the gold frame, rather than have it sitting in my stash, and I have used it as a frame for some of the beautiful Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper, one of my favourites from the current Mini Catalogue.

The background layer has been embossed using the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, and then the framed layer offset.

The two flowers in the bottom corner have been fussy cut from the paper, and gold sprays of leaves are from the new Curvy Dies.

Now I am wondering who I should give that card to?

Happy Stamping!

Heart of Christmas 2019

Heart of Christmas 2019
The Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! Team will be running a weekly Blog Hop to share with you, all the gorgeous products from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue, which is available on the 4th September 2019.

#Elfie
#Elfie
I couldn’t resist this gorgeous stamp set, and am having so much fun colouring the images and making cards with it.
This time I have combined it with the Night Before Christmas Designer Series Papers.

Elfie Night Before Christmas DSP

Elfie has been fussy cut after I coloured him using Stampin’ Blends.
I have also added heaps of sparkle over the white areas and the yellow, using some Wink of Stella.

And did you see that “Merry Christmas” ribbon in the catalogue?
Don’t have a catalogue yet?
Let me know if you are in Australia, I am happy to send one to you.

Now I have a special treat for you.
Recently a very talented lady joined my Stampin’ Up! team.  Tammy Prince is fairly new to cardmaking and stamping, but she is so very creative. And I thought I would let her share some of her work with you.  Here is her gorgeous card for this blog hop.
Tammy Christmas 1

Thanks for agreeing to share your creativity with us Tammy, and welcome to the team.
Tammy has used some of the gorgeous Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper, along with the Frosted Frames dies, and heaps of sparkle using Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter.

Be sure to head to Claire’s blog, where you can find a list of all the participants in the Blog Hop.

If you are in Australia and are interested in joining my small but growing team of friendly crafters, then please reach out to me via email, or you can join online here.
Happy Stamping!

DIY Card

This week’s challenge at Cardz4Guyz is DIY.

This one was a little challenging for me, until I remembered this great Designer Series Paper called Follow Your Art, with all the brushes and rollers…..perfect!

C4G DIY Aug19

The stamped image comes from the Host set called Believe You Can, and I have set that back behind a frame made by using one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies, and fussy cut some individual items out of the papers.
I hope you will join us at Cardz4Guyz, we love to see your projects.

Happy stamping!

Firstly today, I am very excited to let you know that I am now a member of the Design Team for Cardz 4 Guyz, and so will be posting heaps more masculine cards for you.  The challenge is fortnightly, and I hope you will share your projects with us and pop in and check out what is going on.  Here is the link to the challenge blog: https://cardz4guyz.blogspot.com/

Today I am sharing my first card as a member of the Design Team, and fittingly, the theme is Music.  You may not be aware that I was a professional musician in a former part of my life and still play a lot of music, these days as an amateur in support of my son who also plays an instrument.

Cardz4Guyz Music Card

The only stamping on this card is the sentiment.  Everything else is from various sets of Designer Series Papers.  The music and wood background papers are both from Pressed Petals Designer Series Papers, and the gorgeous little bird has been fussy cut out of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Papers.
The sentiment is normally straight but since it is a photopolymer stamp, I have curved it onto the clear block, to create some nice shape.

Why not come on over to Cardz4Guyz and check out what the rest of the Design Team have been doing with this challenge.
Happy stamping!
Chris

For The Love Of Felt

Today I made my very first stamping video tutorial.
I was pretty nervous, and it was daunting, but I did it anyway.
And I am really happy about it, and plan to do heaps more.
The card that made in my video uses the stamp set For The Love of Felt, which I needed to complete the For The Love of Felt kit.
So here is the set of cards I have made:
For The Love of Felt Card Set

The colours are lovely and bright, great on a cloudy, cold and dismal day like we had here today!
Which one is your favourite?

For The Love of Felt Green CardFor The Love of Felt Orange CardFor The Love of Felt Yellow Card

I think I like the orange one best.
The leaves were left over from the kit, and the flowers coloured using Stampin’ Write markers.
You can see all of the details on how I made the cards on the youtube, I hope you enjoy it.  Please subscribe and give me a thumbs up and some love.
Happy Stamping!
