Hello again and welcome back. The Stampin’ Up! Crane of Fortune stamp set is the set I have used for my card today, in particular the pretty flower image. I stamped the flower with Fresh Freesia ink, and then to add some vibrancy and intensity to the colour of the centre of the flower, I have added some Rich Razzleberry ink using a Blending Brush, just gently and with a very small amount of ink, but it makes that colour pop out just a little more.
As I am sure you can tell, I just love the Friendly Hello Sale-a-Bration stamp set (available 4th January 2022), I am also loving the Heart and Home Suite (also available 4th January from the new Mini Catalogue) – yes, there is a lot to look forward to with all the gorgeous new goodies coming soon.
I made this card during my regular Wednesday morning Facebook Live, I have to admit though, I was very tired and probably sounded it. However I think the card turned out ok. This is a style I love to make, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it is easy enough to adjust it to be less “fussy” and appeal to a wider range of people. The gorgeous flowers from the Friendly Hello set, have been stamped in Basic Gray and then coloured with Pale Papaya ink and Blender Pens. And that gorgeous Basic Gray doily is part of the Heart and Home suite. Did you know that you can watch most of my Facebook Lives on my YouTube channel? I found these colours a bit of a challenge this week…
so I have added quite a lot of neutral to it, but of course, once I had made my card, I had a whole heap of other ideas. I will just have to share those with you another time! 🙂
My card this week uses one of the gorgeous Doilies from the Seasonal Catalogue that have just been released. I have stamped straight onto the doily using the swirl from the Everything Eleanor stamp set, in Pretty in Pink and Sahara Sand. It may be a little hard to see in the photo but there are also some of the swirls stamped onto the Sahara Sand background, which I then ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The flowers have been inked and then hand cut, and the red flower has been coated with Crystal Effects to give it a nice shiny finish.
Heaps of inspiration again from the Design Team this week, so make sure you have a look.
I am a little late with posting this today, I had a bit of an incident with some glass and my thumb. No serious damage done but it was a pretty nasty cut and slowed me up a little yesterday for a while. Won’t stop me from stamping, or blogging! 🙂
