Trees or Leaves, or Both

Our new challenge at Cardz4Guyz is to create a project featuring Trees, Leaves or both of those.
It’s spring here in Australia, so the leaves are just starting to shoot on the trees, however, for my card, I have used some of the gorgeous Come To Gather Designer Series Paper.
I love the Autumn colours in this paper, and it’s fantastic for masculine cards.

I have also run the Vanilla panel through the Big Shot with the Woodland Embossing Folder, so there are some trees in there behind the leaves.
The leaves have all been fussy cut from the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper.
And the sentiment is from the #Elfie stamp set.

Join us at Cardz4Guyz and share your projects, we love to see what you have been doing.
Happy stamping!

Gingham, Checks, Plaid or Tartan

This week at Cardz 4 Guys, Helen has challenged us to use Check, Gingham, Plaid or Tartan on our projects, and it must be a prominent feature.

My card features once again, some of the some of the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack from Stampin’ Up! which has become one of my favourites for masculine cards.  And I have combined it with another favourite, the wonderful Lovely As A Tree stamp set. It must be one of the most popular stamp sets ever, great for all sorts of occasions, and again, wonderful for masculine cards.
This is my last week with the team at Cardz 4 Guys, I have enjoyed being Guest Designer for the month of May and just want to say thanks to the rest of the Design Team for having me along.

Happy Stamping!
Chris

Wildlife

This week’s challenge at Cardz 4 Guys is “Wildlife”.  And I have to tell you, there is some pretty amazing inspiration from the Design Team for this one!

My card for this challenge features some great masculine papers.  I love the colours, they are perfect for a man’s card.  The frame around the fish is a Digital image from TiddlyInks called Melissa Frame, which has been coloured with Copic Markers and then fussy cut and layered over the image of the fish.  The rest of the card is just layers of the patterned paper.
Go on over to the Cardz 4 Guys blog and check out the amazing cards from the Design Team, and make sure you play along and share your own creations.
Happy stamping!

Cardz 4 Guys Make Your Mark

This week’s challenge at Cardz 4 Guys has been chosen by Julie who would like you to create your project using Man (Woman) made marks only.  Stitching, inks, embossing, any colouring pens/pencils, water colours, stencils.

I made two cards for this week’s challenge:

The first card uses some retired Stampin’ Up! papers for a background, and I have stamped direct onto the papers using the Adventure Awaits and The Open Sea stamp sets.

My second card was a slightly different interpretation of the “Make Your Mark” theme, since I didn’t have any more information about this challenge at the time.

I have used a digital image called Graduation Guy from Kenny K Downloads, which has been coloured with Copic Markers.
Check out what the rest of the Design Team have come up with for this challenge at Cardz 4 Guys Challenges.

Happy stamping!

Cardz 4 Guyz Challenges

It’s going to be a busy month for me, as I have been asked to be Guest Designer on not one, but two different challenge blogs during May.  The first is with Cardz 4 Guys Challenges.  (You will have to be patient and wait to find out who the second is with!)
Cardz 4 Guys is all about helping you to create cards for the men and boys in your life, which a lot of people find challenging, however I really enjoy creating those masculine cards.  So I hope you will pop on over to the blog, say hi, and get some inspiration!

This week’s challenge is to make a project using a Gardening theme.

My card uses the digital images Shed by Little Claire, and Big Guy’s Garden by Mo’s Digital Pencil, and I have combined the coloured images with some papers from my stash.
Thanks to the Design Team at Cardz 4 Guys for having me join them this month.  Make sure you stay tuned to find out what else we have coming up for you.

Happy stamping!
Chris
