Colouring with Pencils

As I always do on a Saturday during the spring and summer, I spent my day at the lake watching my son sail.

But there’s plenty of time while rigging and de-rigging and all the rest, for me to need something to do. So today I stamped some images from one of the stamp sets from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration catalogue (just one of many perks of being a demonstrator, is early access to products before they are released to the public), and took my watercolour pencils for some relaxing colouring.

Maybe tomorrow I will show you one of the finished projects.

If you are in Australia and would like a catalogue, send me an email, I have the right here and can send one out to you. dotdotstamping@gmail.com

Global Design Project Colour Challenge

I do love a challenge, especially a papercrafting challenge. So my card today uses the colours from the Global Design Project’s current colour challenge.

Definitely Christmassy colours, however I have been making heaps of Christmas cards, so decided not to make a Christmas card with these colours!
I have stamped the flowers with black Stazon ink and then coloured them with a Blender Pen and Cherry Cobbler ink, then fussy cut them and popped them onto the card with a glue dot to give them a little bit of height.

The background is swish of watercolouring using a Water Painter, lots of water and some Mint Macaron ink. It’s interesting that it looks a very different colour in the photo to the Mint Macaron cardstock of the butterfly.

I hope you are having a successful day with your creating.
Happy stamping!

Stampin’ Up! FREE Shipping!!

If you are thinking of putting in a last minute order before Christmas, for some holiday crafting, tomorrow would be a great time to do that, with FREE shipping on all orders over $45.
You can place an online order from my store here, or maybe something from the Clearance Rack, where there are some new items to choose from.

Don’t forget I will be running some fun stamping and cardmaking in the Dot Dot Stamping Kit Parties Facebook Group from late December, where we will be making cards from the Sentimental Rose kit, so now would be a great time to buy your kit (you will need to add something else to make it up to the $45 for free shipping though). I will be sharing some different ideas for using the gorgeous kit and the stamp set that comes with it, so please feel free to join us, even if you are outside of Australia.
Purchases from my online store are for Australian residents only. Thank you for understanding.

Happy shopping!

Simple Christmas Tags

I really love the shape of the Elegant Tag punch but I have to admit that it has been sadly neglected, so I pulled it out this morning and used it to make some Christmas tags.

I kept them quite simple but sometimes simple is good!!

The tree is from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set, and the “Merry” is from A Wish For Everything.

I did share my crafting of these Tags this morning on my Facebook page here, where I have been going live most Wed mornings (Sydney time), depending on internet working and no technical hitches.

These are also a great way to use up scraps of cardstock, patterned paper and ribbon. I seem to have a stash of little bits of retired ribbon and twine!!

Happy stamping,

Chris

Black and White with a pop of colour!!

In my post yesterday I shared some cards using Designer Series Paper, including a bright and cheerful birthday card. Today’s card uses the reverse side if that same paper, from the Host DSP called Pattern Party.

The black and white flower patterned paper has simply been coloured using Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. Another quick and simple card.

I might pop a rhinestone or two on this one, just to add some bling!!

Happy stamping,

Chris
