A very quick post this evening to share with you a card I made yesterday using the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper.
I have combined it with stamped images from the Sale-a-Bration set Friendly Hello (available when you place an order of $180 or more) which has been very quickly coloured using Stampin’ Up! Watercolour Pencils. Hope your week has been wonderful! Happy stamping Chris

Yesterday I shared a single card that I made with the gorgeous Calming Camellia Sale-a-Bration Host set in this post, and today I just wanted to show you the entire set of 5 cards I have made using the same technique, and a little more information. I’ve often wondered why we don’t decorate the back of our cards, after all, it is part of the card and just as visible to the recipient as the front. I am also of the opinion that we are now, more than ever, going to be needing to send people letters – as in, real “snail mail” hand-written type letters, sharing our news and our lives. We need the connection it creates. And so this set of cards is all about those two things. There is no stamping or decoration on the inside of the card, leaving the entire space available for writing a letter. And the back of the card is decorated. Here is the card base, Crumb Cake cardstock stamped with Crumb Cake ink:
And then the full card with the front decorated:
And the full set of five cards:
The colours I have used in conjunction with Crumb Cake are from left to right: Blackberry Bliss, Evening Evergreen, Merry Merlot, Soft Suede and Not Quite Navy. The colours in the photo don’t quite do the depth of colour in the cards justice. My favourites are the Blackberry Bliss and Evening Evergreen. How about you?
So to achieve this look, I have stamped the gorgeous flower image in the one of the colours mentioned above, and then using the White Craft ink and a Blender Pen, coloured the petals of the flower. The white craft ink over the stamped image changes the shade of the original image, making it a lot lighter, and making it look as though there is a lot more colouring than just adding white over the top. I have then added some green to the leaves and some Soft Suede to the stem, also using ink and Blender Pen.
I loved making this set of cards, I may just make a couple of sets to give as gifts to family. Happy stamping! Chris

Hello and welcome back. My card today is another which features both the Daisy Lane stamp set and matching punch, and the Embossing Paste on Clear Window Sheet to create a background.
This time I have used Flirty Flamingo re-inker in some of the Embossing Paste. If you would like to see how I made this background, you can watch the short Facebook Live here.
I am keeping this short and sweet today, but I hope this inspires you to try something a little different. Happy stamping! Chris

With global shipping issues starting to effect all businesses, including Stampin’ Up! especially here in Australia, we need to start looking at ways to continue creating beautiful cards and projects, both for our own enjoyment and creativity, but also to help others who may be needing something to smile about.
My class is designed to show you how you can use any Designer Series Paper you have (or can get) to make beautiful cards, and how one design can look completely different using different Designer Series Papers. This class has 4 different designs, and you will make 2 cards from each design with different Designer Series Papers. This is one of the projects using the gorgeous Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper “Friendly Hello”.
Since this is the first Class in the Mail that I have done for about 10 years!! please be patient with me, I am still figuring out how to get everything working smoothly. More details are here, and if you are keen to get going, please email me at dotdotstamping@gmail.com or leave a comment below. The class is only available in Australia (apologies if you are outside Aus!) however I will be offering PDF only soon, and will keep you posted.
And here is my challenge to you today, send or give a card as a Random Act of Kindness (RAK), and put a smile on someone’s face, you just never know how much of a difference that could make. Go for a walk around your neighbourhood and put a card in someone’s letterbox, just saying hi, even if you don’t sign it. We need to come together and support each other and our individual communities to get through this difficult time, so let’s make a card, and then give a card.

And don’t forget to add your FREE Sale-a-Bration item if your order is $90 or over.
If you are outside of Australia you may not understand my excitement, these items have been very hard to get hold of recently. If you are in Australia, my advice would be to get in while they are available!! I believe that the shipping issues that are currently occurring globally are not going to go away any time soon, so I would ask for patience and understanding as these issues are outside of the control of Stampin’ Up! and in the meantime, there are plenty of other ways to create beautiful cards and other projects.
So keep stamping, and keep creating and sharing your creations with others. You have no idea of the impact one small card can have on someone who is doing it tough.

The Awesome Otters Sale-a-Bration set is just so cute that I had to make another card with it today, this time combined with some of the gorgeous Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper from the new Mini catalogue.
They look like they are having a lot of fun! The hats have been stamped separately in Basic Gray and then coloured very quickly using a Blender Pen with Just Jade and Pumpkin Pie ink, and then fussy cut with scissors and adhered with dimensionals. There is some Wink of Stellar on the pompoms. And don’t forget to decorate the inside as well…..
I hope they give you something to smile about today! Happy stamping Chris

Awesome Otters stamp set is one of the great stamp sets available in the Sale-a-Bration brochure for Jan-Feb 2022, and I have combined it with the Gentle Waves background stamp from the Jan – June Mini Catalogue.
The otter has been stamped separately and then fussy cut, and have then added a little shading with ink and a Blender Pen. And the birds come from the Let’s Set Sail stamp set, also from the current Mini Catalogue. The colours I have used are Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight. I made an Idea Pin for this card which you can watch here: https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/265923552988586352/
Did you know you can earn the Awesome Otters stamp set just by spending $90 from the Annual catalogue and/or new Mini Catalogue through my online store? (Australian orders only please) I think that’s a great deal, and since there are so many gorgeous new goodies in the new Mini, it’s not difficult to spend $90!

Hi again, and welcome back! You may remember a few days ago I shared this post with a single layer card featuring the retiring Gorgeous Leaves stamp set, and I thought it would be interesting to make the exact same card using a completely different stamp set and different colours.
This time the card is a thick Very Vanilla cardbase and I have used the Flowing Flowers stamp set, with a few splodges from the Quiet Meadow stamp set (although you could use the splodges on the other flower image from the Flowing Flowers set for this). The colours are Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo. This is such a gorgeous stamp set, I love the different flower images and the beautiful script on the sentiments. My brain is overloaded with ideas!! That’s enough from me for today, I am spending the rest of my day working on some tutorial and online class ideas, so stay tuned for those. Happy stamping! Chris

These Masks make it so easy to create gorgeous cards and are a lot of fun to use as well.
I made this card during my Wednesday morning Facebook Live this week, using the Stamparatus to anchor the cardstock and mask in place while I was sponging the colour onto the background. The Butterfly is sponged and then fussy cut. You can see how I made this card Live here. I also mentioned during my Live that I will no longer be doing two Lives per week on Facebook, but will only be doing the Wed morning one. So make sure you Like my Facebook page, I love to have some more interaction there . Do you have a favourite item from the new Mini Catalogue? Pretty difficult to choose just one, but these Masks are up there amongst my favourites.

My card for today is one that I have made to take part in Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights for January 2022. You can vote for your top 5 cards.
I’ve gone with a very pretty, feminine card today, featuring the new Flowing Flowers stamp set on page 36 of the new January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue, and have paired this with the new Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper on page 49. While a lot of this DSP is quite contemporary, I wanted to show some of the pretty pastel colours that can be used on less contemporary projects. The flower was coloured using Stampin’ Write Markers, and I used the Stamparatus so that I could re-ink and re-stamp until I was happy with the colour intensity.
These gorgeous products are available now in my online store.
