Welcome to the Monthly Art With Heart Creative Showcase.
This month the Art With Heart Team have amazing projects to share with you that have been inspired by the card sketch below.
The sketch is to be used as a starting point and has been interpreted in many creative ways by the Art With Heart Team.
I have used the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set for my card, a favourite which I am very happy to say, is carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue!!
I have watercoloured the image with watercolour pencils and an aqua painter.
The pencil colours are in Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry colours, but they come out a lot lighter when they have been diluted with the water.
The flag on the top left has been run through the die cutting machine with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder.
I love this style of watercolouring, stay tuned for a Tutorial coming soon!!
The next demonstrator to share her interpretation of the sketch is the very talented and lovely Claire Daly. I am sure Claire will have some wonderful inspiration for you.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy all of the inspiration from this group of talented ladies.

Concord Crush, Peach Parfait and Blushing Bride are the colours, which was a really challenging combination for me. But I guess that is the idea of challenges now, isn’t it??! 🙂
And it’s this week’s Stampin’ Royalty colour challenge. I did struggle with this colour combination and with the card, it just didn’t want to come together, and I am still not entirely happy with it.
I have combined the colour challenge with a sketch from Mojo Monday. I love working to sketches, I can always see so many different ways to use them, the only challenge I have is deciding which particular idea to use.
Anyway, the card uses Twitterpated DSP, the stamp is from the Bordering on Romance (gorgeous) Stamp Set, and the ribbon from the new mini catalogue. I have stamped the images in Stazon Ink (so that the black doesn’t run when it is coloured) onto Shimmer White Cardstock. Unfortunately you can’t see it in the photos, but there is just a nice little bit of a glittery look. And I have used some half back pearls for the centres of the flowers. It may also be difficult to tell from the photos, but I have cut out some exra flowers and popped them up to add some dimension.
Quick update: This card was chosen as a Top Pick at Stampin’ Royalty! 🙂
Hope you get some stamping time in your day.
This week’s challenge from Just Add Ink is a fantastic one, and it is to find a card on Kathy Tanner’s blog that inspires you and create something based on it. So, I have made my card based on the layout that Kathy used for her card, and also the watercolouring. And if you can’t find inspiration on Kathy’s blog, then there is just no hope for you! I haven’t done any watercolouring for a long time, so it was time to get the Aqua brush out!
The stamp set I have used here is Simply Soft, a hostess set, and the papers are from the current mini catalogue, called Spice Cake.
Well, that’s it for today. I do have plenty more stamping to share with you, but another day! We are all suffering from lack of sleep here due to the heat (no air conditioning!) so time to head off to bed to try to catch up. Also time to move to a new house with air conditioning! Stay tuned……
