This really was a challenge! But I like a challenge…. I do, really…….
This fortnight’s challenge at The Male Room is to make a masculine project with an “Oriental” feel.
Mmmmm…… I found some oriental rice papers at a local craft market and bought a sheet in these lovely colours, perfect for a masculine card. And because the colours are so lovely and vibrant, I thought it would be nice to keep the rest of the card clean, simple and just black and white.
I have used the stamp set called In The Meadow, with black Memento ink, a strip of red cardstock and some Gold Cording Trim, and that is pretty much it! Quick and easy!
I wonder what the rest of the Design Team have done with this one? You can have a look here.
PS. Sorry about the photo, we have had so much rain and heaps of stormy weather that it has been quite difficult to find a spot and the right light to get a decent photo. Typical Australian summer!! 🙂

This is super Oriental. I had thought of using Japanese origami paper too, but just couldn’t find it! Love the mountains, great idea to keep them monotone.
This is exactly the picture I see in my head when I think of oriental art. Fabulous card!
I love this card! The paper is so gorgeous and rich. It’s perfect with the clean, crisp background. You really rocked this oriental challenge. xxx
The paper is beautiful and looks perfect with the clean image, I love it!
Love the Asian paper with those mountains, it has that clean and crisp oriental flair!
