Stampin’ Up! Everyday Details

I’ve been enjoying some quiet time recently while I recover from a nasty flu that took hold a few weeks ago. Sitting and colouring has helped to keep me occupied and creative. So now I’m putting together some cards and notebooks using the coloured images.

This one features the Everyday Details bundle, which you can purchase from my online store: https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/everyday-details-bundle?demoid=4020972

While the stamp set is continuing on into the new Annual catalogue, the dies are not, so they are only available for a short time.

I’ve coloured the image with Stampin’ Blends in Pool Party, Shaded Spruce, Bubble Bath and Daffodil Delight.

Happy stamping,

Chris

Stampin’ Up! Radiant Light

Today I get to share a sneak peek at a gorgeous stamp set which will be available in September, a beautiful Christmas set called Radiant Light.

I love candles at the best of times, the flicker of the flames and the soft light. And I especially love them at Christmas.

I have used the Merry Melody Embossing Folder with Very Vanilla cardstock to create the background. The candle image has been stamped with black Memento ink, then coloured with Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers). The sentiment is also stamped in black and then fussy cut. I’ve also added some Wink of Stella to the flames but it doesn’t show up well in the photo.

This week is a celebration for me, it is my birthday week. And because I am a musician, this week you will see a lot of music themed projects. I am also celebrating my birthday by giving away gifts to anyone who places an order, whether that is directly with me, or through my online store. And I love giving away gifts!

And there is one other thing that I am hoping to celebrate this week – I am only a few subscribers away from 100 on my YouTube Channel, so I am hoping to hit that milestone this week. I would love it if you would help me out.

The beautiful Radiant Light Stamp Set is only available to demonstrators at the moment – just one of many benefits of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, but it will be available to you from the 6th September.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy stamping,
Chris

Hello, Irresistible

As soon as I saw this divine Designer Series Paper, it became a “must have”. Actually a “must have immediately!!” Such beautiful colours and designs.

My set of cards is inspired by one made by a US demonstrator, Amy Koenders from stampwithamyk.com.

The only stamping on these cards are the sentiments, everything else is from the DSP pack. This first card is similar to the one Amy made, and then I’ve used different colours from the DSP.

Which one do you like best? Originally I thought the first was my favourite but today it’s the middle one. Maybe tomorrow I will like a different one best.

If you love this paper as much as I do, and you live in Australia, you can order this through me. It’s not in any of the catalogues though, this is only available for a short time.

Happy stamping

Chris

Stampin’ Up! On The Horizon Masculine Card

I am loving experimenting with the Layering Designs Vellum right now. Have you seen it? It’s one of those items in the Mini Catalogue that is kind of hiding in plain sight, on Page 33, and which is a gorgeous addition to all sorts of projects.
My card today is a simple masculine card, featuring the trees from the On The Horizon Stamp set, paired with the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper.

That strip of Vellum changes the entire look of the card but is such a simple addition.
Vellum can be difficult to stick down, you can see tape or glue through the Vellum, but in this case, I have used the tiniest dab of glue in the corners, just behind some of the pattern, as well as some glue in the area behind the main image. And that is enough to keep it in place.
You could always add some brads, or twine to hide glue, but this has worked really well.

Happy stamping
Chris
