My card today features the beautiful Sale-a-Bration Host Stamp set, Calming Camellia, which I have stamped onto Crumb Cake cardstock with Night if Navy ink. Then using a Blender Pen I have coloured it with White ink on the petals, Old Olive on the leaves and Soft Suede on the stem.
I plan to make a set of these and some tags as well. They will make a beautiful gift.
The Ever Eden Designer Series Paper is just beautiful for Christmas cards, and I have combined it with the Stockings Dies and Encircled in Beauty Dies.
I need to keep this short today, our area is in flood watch and we have had massive amounts of rain which is still going on, and is effecting our internet. So hoping this will post now.
I did a Livestream on my Facebook page this morning, featuring the Whimsy and Wonder Designer Series Paper, to make quick, easy and gorgeous Christmas cards, and to show that you really don’t need to spend a lot of money in order to get going and make some homemade Christmas cards.
These first three cards use exactly the same layout, with different patterns from the same pack of DSP.
I also showed this same layout using a completely different DSP to create a bright and cheerful birthday card, using the Host DSP Pattern Party.
And a couple of different layouts using Whimsy and Wonder DSP.
They were fun to make, and now I have a bigger stash to sell at the markets this week!!
My very favourite Stampin’ Up! Colour is Rich Razzleberry. Yesterday I was chatting online with the lovely Clare from Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Support and she gave me this colour combo to try out – Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake and Champagne. So, this is what I came up with…….
The strip of Vellum has been embossed with the Timber 3D embossing folder, the leaves die cut using the Intricate Leaves Dies, and the stamped leaves were inked in Crumb Cake and then sponged around the edge with Rich Razzleberry ink on a sponge dauber. The stamp set is called Gorgeous Leaves.
Leave me a comment below and let me know what your favourite Stampin’ Up! Colour is? Do you have a favourite combination using that colour? I love hearing about all the different favourite colours, it is hard to pick just one though.
Someone decided I had done enough stamping after this card, and it was time my attention was elsewhere. We had a lovely snuggle with the sunshine streaming in through the window.
The current challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges is to use a Butterfly on your project.
Anyone else love Butterflies?
I do. And I certainly love using them on my cards and papercraft projects.
This card was fairly quick and easy to make up, and again, uses some of the gorgeous new Stampin’ Up! products about to be released.
The lovely embossing folder which is framing the sentiment is called Floral Affection, and comes as a set of two folders. I just happen to love my embossing folders, so they are always top of my wish list!
This card also uses my favourite of the new In Colours, called Sweet Sugarplum, and the butterfly is die cut from the new Playful Palette paper stack.
Happy Stamping!
Chris
