Freshly Made Sketch #27

I just had to have a go at this cute sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  So many possibilities with this one, but I wanted to keep it fresh and summery, even though we are already having some cooler Autumn weather here in Adelaide.
And I love this colour combination, it’s a bit of a favourite at the moment – Lucky Limade (yum),  Calypso Coral (yum again), Wisteria Wonder (more yum), and Pool Party (absolutely definitely the yummiest!).  It have also included one of the new Jelly Bean Brads which are available on the 1st April from the new Autumn / Winter catalogue.  They are very cute!
The stamp set is Posy Punch which is a Hostess Set from the current main catalogue.  Send me an email if you would like to know how you can get it for free.
Anyway, that’s me for today.  It has been a pretty big day so I am off for some well earned rest.
Happy stamping!

Mojo Monday 233

Warning: This post contains materials that may prove to be highly addictive!

On the 1st of April the new Autumn / Winter Mini Catalogue from Stampin’ Up! will be released here in Australia, and I can tell you that it contains some of the most beautiful things ever!  So I thought I would give you a bit of a sneak peek.
The card is also my entry for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

The stamp set is called Apothecary Art.  I have coloured the images using a combination of markers and blender pen.
I have also used the new Twitterpated DSP and Buttons.  I have put one of the mini brads through the button to give the flower a centre, and have used some of the Seam Binding Ribbon.  The other new item that I have used here is one of the set of Framelits Dies, also available on the 1st April.  Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous – I want it all! 🙂  But you have to wait…… unless you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator of course.
But feel free to contact me if you live in the Adelaide area and you would like to learn how to use the tools and gorgeous products I have shown you today.
Happy Stamping!

Sweet Treat Cup Bunnies

These cute little fellows are ready for the markets.  I have put a few small eggs inside the sweet treat cups since I took the photo, and they look very cute!

Again, they use mainly retired cardstock and DSP, along with lots of punched out shapes and layers.  They were a little bit time consuming, but heaps of fun to make.

Just a short post tonight as I still have a bit to do for the markets on Sunday.
Hope you have a crafty weekend.

Happy stamping!

Marion Indoor Markets

If you live in the Adelaide area, make sure you come along to the Marion Indoor Markets at the Marion Leisure Centre on Oaklands Rd, this Sunday, to check out all the goodies!

I have been busy making lots of Easter things to take to the markets to sell, including this really easy basket.  It just takes one piece of 12 x 12 cardstock, a few folds, some ribbon and decorate! Done!
For me, this has been an adventure in using up heaps of retired cardstock and DSP, so I hope to sell heaps.  Then I can buy more! That’s how it works, isn’t it? 🙂
So yes, this uses every thing retired, including the stamp set, ribbon, DSP and even the cardstock colour.  Never mind, you get the idea and you could always make one using current stuff.

Happy stamping, and I’ll be back with more Easter ideas soon.

Black and White with a splash of colour!

That is this week’s challenge from Our Creative Corner, and didn’t that open up some possibilities!!  I have so many ideas floating around in my head for this one that I think I need to spend the rest of the week doing nothing but stamping! Hmm yes well, nice try.
This one features that gorgeous DSP Morning Mocha, and so my “splash of colour” is Soft Suede.

And I enjoyed making this one so much, that I have made a set of cards, all in the same layout and style, just using different colours and embellishments.
Leave me a comment and let me know which one you like best.  Personally, I like the pink one, and my son’s favourite is the blue one, but that’s not really very surprising! 🙂

Happy stamping!

Colour Challenge

The colours of today’s card are from this week’s Just Add Ink challenge, and the colours are: Pool Party, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder and Certainly Celery.  And yes, it definitely was a challenge.  I found it very hard to add the Certainly Celery.  It is a little hard to see, but behind the main image is a layer of Wisteria Wonder cardstock and then a layer of Certainly Celery Cardstock.  I really wanted to take out the Certainly Celery layer, it just doesn’t fit for me, but I guess that is the idea of challenges 🙂
I have combined the colour challenge in with a sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping, but to be honest, I am not really all that happy with the end result.
Perhaps that is because I am completely exhausted from our move.  However, we are in our new house – not very organised and still with a lot of work to do here, but we are here!  And I have been trying to give myself a few minutes of stamping every day, just to take the edge off the stress of moving.  So I do have more to share with you, and will be back again real soon.  Hope you are having a fantastic Monday.
Happy Stamping!

Scrapbooking again

Yes, I have finally started to do some scrapbooking again, after well over a year of being scrapbook-less.?.?..  either through complete lack of inspiration or just the need to do other things.
I have used a sketch challenge from Our Creative Corner for my scrapbook page today.  I think I will have to make a card using this sketch too!
I am doing a set of pages looking back on all of the things that we have been through, both positive and negative, over the past 12 months, so most of the journalling will be out of sight.
Once again I have used the Everyday Enchantment DSP for this page, and also the Fresh Vintage stamp set.

We are in the process of moving house at present, so there may be some gaps in blogging for a couple of weeks, but I intend to keep stamping and scrapping in between days of moving and cleaning, so I will try to keep posting my creations.
Happy stamping!

“My Thoughts” Card

I am very happy to be able to tell you that the long spell of hot weather we have been having here is at an end, as of tomorrow.  And while it has given me an excuse to stay in doors in the middle of the day and do some stamping, it is starting to get to everyone.  So the cooler weather will be a relief.
And on top of that, kids are all back at school tomorrow.  For us homeschoolers, that means we get the parks, playgrounds, beaches and zoos etc back to ourselves, to visit without heaps of other people there.  They become “our” parks again 🙂  That’s not to say we avoid other people, but some things are just much more enjoyable when you can take your time, browse, play and just spend as much time as you want to without rushing and pushing.

Anyway, today’s card uses more of the Everyday Enchantment DSP, along with the Field Flowers stamp set, which is my absolute favourite set.  And I have used the Big Shot and Top Note Die (another favourite), along with some sponging and faux stitching.
I had best go and do some stamping while I have the chance – park day tomorrow!!
Happy stamping!
