Dragonfly Dreams July Challenge

The theme for July at Dragonfly Dreams is Midsummer Delight, and our sponsor is Lawn Fawn.
It is, of course, mid Winter here in Australia, so I quite enjoyed thinking about Summer and all the things I love about the warmer months, in particular, spending time at the beach in the sunshine.
So my card for this challenge is focused on the beach and sunshine. 🙂

I have used some papers from the new Stampin’ Up! Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack for my card, with the lovely bright and summery colours. I have combined some stamp sets for this card, the sun is from the Kinda Eclectic set, the star fish and little crab are from the Sea Street set, and the sentiment from the Work of Art set.

Happy stamping!

Pattie’s Creations Challenge 112

Theme – Make a Splash: Water MUST be part of your Image!
For this month’s challenge with Pattie’s Creations I have chosen Pattie’s wonderful Mallards image.

I just loved colouring this image, and of course have used my Copic Markers.

I decided to keep the card very clean and simple so that the image was the highlight of the card, and also decided to leave it blank without a sentiment, although it could be used for just about any type of card.
I hope you will join in the fun this month, create something with a water theme, or just that has some water somewhere, and share it with us at Pattie’s Creations in July.
Happy Stamping!

Simply Papercraft Challenge #8

Our sponsor for the next fortnight at Simply Papercraft is Morgan’s Artworld.

I have used the Garden image for my card, and wanted to keep the colours bright and cheerful, since we are having such a cold winter in this part of Australia.

The image is coloured using Copic markers, and layered over some of the gorgeous papers from the Stampin’ Up! Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack.
I hope you will join us and share your papercrafting projects with us at Simply Papercrafts this fortnight.
Happy stamping!

Creative Ladybirds Challenge 5

This is my last month as a member of the Design Team with Creative Ladybirds Creations Challenges, so firstly I would like to thank all of the lovely ladies for sharing this time with me.  I have enjoyed seeing all of your gorgeous projects over the last six months.
Our sponsors for this month are Ikes Art:

and Lacy Sunshine:

My card this month features the beautiful Wren image from Ikes Art.

I have coloured the Wren with Copic markers and then simply mounted onto some retired Stampin’ Up! paper from the Adventure Bound DSP Stack.
I hope you will share you projects with us again this month, at Creative Ladybirds Creations.

Happy stamping!

Heartfelt Sympathy

I have a few new goodies to play with and share with you today, including a beautiful new stamp set called Heartfelt Sympathy.
My card uses the sketch from the current Just Add Ink challenge.

I have also used some very pretty new Designer Series Papers, the Pretty Petals Stack.  The stamp has been coloured using markers, then cut out using a circle framelit.
I am also entering my card in the Use Your Stuff current challenge.

Happy stamping!

Black and White Challenge Reminder

A quick reminder tonight, to share your Black and White projects with us at Crafty Boots Challenges.
My card this week uses this wonderful digital image from Imagine That!

I have used a music notes embossing folder for the background with some gorgeous shiny black and silver ribbon.

I am entering my card in the current challenge at Crafty Cardmakers – the challenge is to use a sentiment.
Happy crafting!

Punch Art Kitty

I had a little bit of fun this afternoon, making this cute kitty and designing a card for him to go on.

PunchArtKitty

We do love our four legged friends in this family, we have four beautiful cats (who live inside) and two rabbits (who live outside).  I had a little helper while I was making this card today, so if you see any black hairs they will be our little black cat’s contribution.  She does so love helping me craft, usually sitting on me or whatever I am making at the time and purring very loudly!
I didn’t think the kitty on my card would look as good all black though, so I did this one in similar colours to one of our other gorgeous cats, Biff.  Here is a photo, do you think it looks like him? 🙂

Anyway, the background papers are from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack, and I have used some of the Ovals Collection Framelits to create a frame for kitty to sit inside.  For kitty I have used the following punches:  1 3/4inch Circle Punch for the body, Flower Medallion Punch for the ears, Bow Builder Punch, trimmed with paper snips for the tail, Owl Builder Punch for the eyes and nose, and a retired punch (can’t remember the name of it, sorry) for those cute little paws.  And then just used a Black Marker to add some detail.
The words come from You Little Furball stamp set.

I am entering this card in the current Send A Smile 4 Kids Animal Cards Challenge.

Happy stamping

Up In The Air

The new challenge at The Male Room for the next fortnight is a theme of “Up In The Air but No Birds Allowed!”

Heaps of things you can still do with this challenge, planes, clouds, hot air balloons, or…… parachutists!

My card uses some gorgeous new Stampin’ Up! papers from the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack, and this great image is from the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set.  Plus I have used a small piece of the new Corrugated cardstock to add a little more texture to my card.
Make sure you check out the inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.
Happy stamping!

Black and White Challenge

Our challenge at Crafty Boots for the next fortnight, is to make Black and White projects.
My card features the gorgeous Butterflies Thinlits dies from Stampin’ Up!

Such a beautiful butterfly, it is one of my favourite dies, and makes it so easy to make a lovely card quickly and easily.
Make sure you share your Black and White projects with us at Crafty Boots Challenges.
Happy stamping!

Freshly Made Sketches 191

My card this morning uses a combination of the sketch from the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge, which I have combined with the current Just Add Ink challenge of using Topography.  This is my second entry in the Just Add Ink challenge but I wanted to show a completely different way of using script or lettering on your projects.
Here is the sketch:

FMS191

I have kept my card very simple, and it really only took me a few minutes to make.

I have used a white card base, and separate white layer which I have run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder which came as a free gift with a magazine.  Then I have lightly sponged some ink on the area I wanted highlighted, just using a sponge dauber.  Then a couple of strips of patterned paper attached behind the white layer before adhere it to the card base.  It’s a great way of using up some of those thin strips of patterned paper, or coloured cardstock, that we all manage to collect.
Happy stamping!
