Saturday Cinema Creative Challenge #25

I have been so busy over the past few weeks that I have missed out on making something for the Saturday Cinema Creative challenge, (it is worth checking their site out, there are some truly beautiful cards there, great for some inspiration, and this week are offering some blog candy 🙂 a delightful stamp set called Branching Out from Taylored Expressions). It is a lot of fun, and I find it a good way to do some things that I wouldn’t normally, and my card for this challenge is certainly totally different from my usual style.   This week’s movie is the James Bond movie, Goldfinger.  I am not a James Bond fan, and this is another movie I haven’t seen, so once again I had to use my limited knowledge and interrogate 🙂 my ever supportive and helpful husband.

The Martini Glass is a clip art image which has been printed onto vellum and then cut out.  I have then used a Versamark pen to go around the edging and emboss with gold powder.  I have then adhered the bottom of the glass to the cardstock, and used glue dots on the top part of the glass which I have pushed out to make it rounded like a real glass.  The second photo will show you what I mean.

Stamp Sets: Seeing Spots, One of a Kind.

Cardstock: Basic Black, Vellum Cardstock.

Ink: Versamark, Versamark pen (not Stampin’ Up!)

Accessories: Gold and Black embossing powders, Heat gun, Gold Brads, Paper snips, computer and printer 🙂

I feel Pretty….

Something new and different again today, I used my markers to colour the big flower from the pretties kit, which is something I have seen done but never tried.  It is so effective and makes it really easy to colour the flower to match (or contrast) and also easy to blend more than one colour onto the flower.  It certainly makes a statement!! 🙂

Stamp Sets: Bodacious Bouquet, Three Thoughts, One of a Kind, Bodacious Jumbo Wheel

Cardstock: Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Lavender Lace

Inks: Versamark, Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence, Handsome Hunter

Accessories:  Large Flower and Large White Halfback Pearl from the Pretties Kit, Corner Rounder Punch, Markers, Glue Dots.

One of a Kind

Today has been a nice day spent at home with Jamie, which doesn’t necessarily mean it has been a relaxing day, relaxing with a 2 year old just doesn’t really happen, but he is happy for Mummy to do some dot dot (stamping) – sometimes, just as long as he still has my attention most of the time!

So I thought I would take the opportunity and share a card that I CASEd from one of my favourite stamping artists, Silke Ledlow .  I have used the same layout and colours but changed a few things around.

This stamp set is one that I just love from the Spring Mini Catalogue – actually I like just about everything in the Spring Mini, I just haven’t got it all yet 🙂  soon, I promise, one at a time 🙂
