Heart of Christmas 2019 – Week 4

I can’t believe it is already the 4th week we have shared Christmas inspiration from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue.  Christmas is coming!

My cards this week were inspired by my lovely friend and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in the US, Anne-Marie Hile.  Anne-Marie has been inspiring me for many, many years and makes such beautiful cards.
And while my intention was to CASE Anne-Marie’s card, which you can see here, my card ended up a little different.

And I decided to make a second card, but keeping it quite clean and simple, but still with some of the Christmas colours from the original.

I have die cut some Gold Foil using one of the Detailed Bands Dies to highlight the words on my card.

Have you started making your Christmas cards yet?
If not, there’s sure to be something to inspire you from all the projects from the blog hop, which you can find links here on Claire’s blog.

Happy hopping, hope you find some inspiration,
Chris

  1. Lovely cards, Christina. The traditional Christmas colours look fabulous with the plaid paper and gold. I really like the gold frame around the greeting, too.

  2. I am loving all of your Christmas cards this year, I really must sort out my Stampin’ Up order. My only complaint about Stampin’ Up is that, as a rule, their stamps are quite small and I like to send A4 or 8×8 cards and small stamps look silly. but the backing papers are fabulous.

    • Thank you Dionne, yes the patterned papers are gorgeous, although there are some in this catalogue that are 6 x 6, but still good for adding some gorgeous backgrounds. Hmmm yes that is tricky, I think sending that size cards is a little unusual, certainly here it would be. Postage here would be a nightmare!! Have you considered the Word Wishes Dies, or the Merry Christmas Dies from the Annual Catalogue?

    • Hi Dionne, the Stampin’ Up! gold foil is pretty much normal cardstock thickness, and once it has been die cut I just use some of the Stampin’ Up! Fine Tip Glue Pen, and dot a few dobs of that glue around the back,

  3. Both of your cards a great Christina, although I must say that I am a fan of clean and simple. The use of the gold ornate frame is fabulous.
