This week’s challenge at Just Add Ink is to use Typography on your project.
I have used the gorgeous new Stampin’ Up! Hostess stamp set Best Thoughts for my card.
I liked the look of this rolled technique, and thought I would give it a try, however I am not entirely happy with how it turned out. Note to self: always wait until the glue has dried before taking the photo!!
I also needed to spritz the cardstock with some water before rolling it, this makes the cardstock more easily manipulated. I will have to give it another go! 🙂
I have used the colours Perfect Plum, Blackberry Bliss and Very Vanilla, along with some of the Typeset Specialty papers and an Antique Brad.
Did you know that you can get the hostess sets for your self, in a number of ways. You can host a stamping party with some friends. You can place an order of $250 or more. Or you can collect orders from other crafters to make up a total order of $250 or more. Contact me if you would like to know more.
Happy stamping!
Chris
What a wonderful design, your whole cars looks gorgeous and I almost missed the stitching around the edge.
Emmm, I think it would work really well in black and white, I wonder!!

This is beautiful, Chris; I agree with Chantell, that it is dramatic! Love that the rolled edges of paper and card reveal those lovely flowers. Gorgeous use of colour. Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week. 🙂

Chris this is so dramatic! I can’t quite decide if it reminds me more of a curtain being drawn open or a bunch of flowers beautifully wrapped up. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
