Masculine Thanks

This fortnight at The Male Room, we are celebrating Thanksgiving with a Thank you or Thanksgiving masculine project.

Thanksgiving is another of those celebrations that doesn’t happen here in Australia, although personally I would like to see it being celebrated more, I think it is a wonderful tradition.
I have made a thank you card for my project.

It uses The Wilderness Awaits and Endless Thanks stamp sets, fast becoming firm favourites, and backed the image with some unfortunately, retired, Stampin’ Up! patterned papers.  The image has been roughly coloured using inks and blender pens, and I say roughly as I was trying to make it look, well… rough. 🙂  Textured.
Hoping to see all your wonderful masculine projects at The Male Room again this fortnight.
Happy stamping!

New In Colours

With the release of the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue only a few days away, I thought I would introduce you to the new In Colours for 2015-2017.

I have made a card using a combination of Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe.

The flower is from the Butterfly Basics stamp set, which has been heat embossed with white embossing powder.  The flowers have then had some Mint Macaron ink painted onto the cardstock to give a little depth of colour, using a Blender Pen.
I will be back with some more ideas using some new goodies over the next few weeks.  Contact me if you live locally (Canberra, Cooma area) and would like one of the new catalogues.
Happy stamping!

Just Add Ink Challenge

This week’s challenge at Just Add Ink is this gorgeous bright and cheerful photo, full of rainbow colours.

So I really had to use a rainbow on my card 🙂

I adore this cute little image from the Life’s Adventure Hostess stamp set, and thought he would look quite cute sitting under a rainbow.  I have coloured the image using a Blender pen and ink, then stamped the rainbow using the Work of Art stamp set.  Then there are just a few small finishing touches which are not so easy to see in the photo….. I have done some paper piercing around the edge but only where the cardstock is still white, so not over the rainbow.  And then added some rain drops using Crystal Effects.
Hope your weekend is crafty!
Happy stamping!
