Mother’s Day Teacup

Just a quick post this afternoon, to share a Mother’s Day card I made using this gorgeous Digi from Imagine That!

I think my colouring needed a little more work, however we have quite a lot going on at present, so had to make the most of time I had today.
Will be back later with another card, in the meantime,
Happy Stamping!

Mother’s Day Rose

A quick post this afternoon to share with you a Mother’s Day card I made using this beautiful Single Rose image from Pattie’s Creations Designs.

My card uses some pretty papers out of my large stash, and the sentiment comes from the Stampin’ Up! Hello You Thinlits Dies and Crazy About You stamp set.

Mother’s Day in Australia is next Sunday, 10th May, so make sure you get something special for your Mum.
Happy stamping!

Birds!

This week’s challenge at The Male Room is to make a project featuring birds.  As you know, I really enjoy making masculine cards, and they seem to be quite popular with the customers at the local shop which sells my cards.

I have based my card on a sketch from The Paper Players, but didn’t get it completed in time for the challenge.  Thought I would use the sketch anyway! 🙂

Here is my card:

I decided to use all browns for this one, and use some different papers from the retiring Stampin’ Up! paper stacks.  Oh don’t worry, there will be more paper stacks, just in different patterns to these ones.
This lovely bird image is from the Stampin’ Up! stamp set called MoonLake – one of my all time favourites.

Happy stamping!

A new month and Blog Hop!

The first day of the month brings heaps of new inspiration from Creative Ladybirds Creations.
Our first sponsor for this month is Moonflower Digistamps.

I chose to work with Unicorn Maiden for this challenge, and definitely found her a challenge to colour!  But she is very beautiful and I just couldn’t resist giving it a try.

The maiden and her unicorn were coloured using Copic Markers, then fussy cut and layered over some white cardstock with shiny stars.  I have given this a hint of colour sponged to make the stars pop out a little. Strangely, the birthday sentiment looks quite crooked in this photo, but it isn’t.
I think I need lots more practice before I give this lovely lady another try!

And just for a bit of fun, we are also having a Blog Hop this month at Creative Ladybirds Creations.

Our sponsors for the Blog Hop are:

Enchanted Design Studio

Ikes Art

Lacy Sunshine Stamps

My projects for the Blog Hop are:
From Ikes Art I have used the KT Swing image.

Again, the image has been fussy cut after colouring and then adhere onto the stamped background, so that she looks like she is swinging from the tree.  The background images come from the Stampin’ Up! set Sheltering Tree.

And using the Soccer Reggie image from Lacy Sunshine.

The background for this card is just some papers from my stash.

You should have arrived here from the lovely Lena’s Blog, and next for you to visit is the talented Kaylee.  Here is a list of the Design Team involved in the Blog Hop in case you get lost on the way.

Things With Wings Challenge

Things With Wings” is the theme for this fortnight’s challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges, now that gives you heaps to play with!  Apart from the obvious: birds or butterflies, how about dragonflies, fairies, flies, wasps, or even planes.
I chose this gorgeous Daisy Elf image from Aurora Wings for my card for this week.  (Lots of winged fantasy options at Aurora Wings that you could choose from for your project!)

She has been coloured using Copic Markers, and the paper and ribbon are from my stash.
How about damselflies, bees, bats, moths, mosquitoes or dragons!!  Or use your imagination and come up with something really unusual 🙂
Most of all, have fun, and make sure you share you creation with us this week at Crafty Boots Challenges.

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge

I can’t believe how quickly this month has gone by, and the last week of April brings me to my final week as Guest Designer with Just Add Ink.  I have loved playing along with this great bunch of lovely ladies, and really enjoyed sharing my ideas with all of you.
This week’s challenge is to use this sketch for your inspiration:

I have used the sketch to make a masculine card, featuring the Moon Lake stamp set and the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper Stack.

The image has been stamped in Early Espresso ink and then some light colouring added using Markers, and the circle layers cut with Framelits.
Thanks again to the ladies from the Just Add Ink team for having me along this month.  Make sure you check out all the inspiration from the Design Team here.
Happy stamping!

Red, White and Blue Challenge Reminder

A reminder to join in with our Red, White and Blue challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges.  I have made a very different card from last week’s…….

I thought this image from Lacy Sunshine Stamps called Rory Sailing, was just too cute and had to use it for this challenge.  She is coloured with Copic markers and I have combined her with papers from Stampin’ Up!s Maritime DSP.
I do hope you will share some of you projects with us for this challenge, we love to see what you have been creating!
Happy stamping!

Just Add…. Sequins!

This week’s Just Add Ink challenge is to use Sequins.  Definitely a challenge for me, sequins are some I seem to avoid using, not for any particular reason, I just don’t think of using them.  But I do like a challenge! 🙂

To create my card, I have used the Word Bubble Framelits, in particular, the cloud shaped one.  I have used it to cut out a cloud of heavy cardboard, which I have then used as a template to sponge around, creating the cloudy sky look in the background.  I have made two clouds in silver foil and then embossed them with polka dots.  The umbrella comes from the Hostess stamp set called Life’s Adventure, normally the umbrella is held by a cute fox but this time I just wanted the umbrella.  And yes, of course, some shiny sequins coming out of those silver clouds 🙂
There are lots of gorgeous ideas and ways of using sequins from the rest of the Design Team here.  And I look forward to sharing my last card as Guest Designer with Just Add Ink next week.
Happy stamping!

A Day For Daisies

My first card, uses the very cute image called “Cute Fairy” from Rosey Hearts.

She certainly is cute, giving the snail a hug! 🙂

I loved this boy as soon as I saw him, with that cheeky face – Mikey Sweet Urchin from Lacy Sunshine.

I had fun trying to work out a background for this card, and have used some Stampin’ Up! DSP (retired and current) along with the fabulous Hello You Thinlits Dies and Crazy About You stamp set.

And last but definitely not least, is the absolutely gorgeous image from A Day For Daisies called A Lap Full of Kittens.

I have also used a background digital stamp from Make It Crafty called By The Window.  I thought the girl looked like she would be sitting with her kittens wishing the rain would stop so that they could go outside to play.

A huge thanks to our three sponsors for allowing us to use these beautiful images, and for the other “Crafty Girlz”. Lots of inspiration from the rest of the Design Team at Crafty Girlz Challenges!
Happy Stamping!

Ricky Goes Fishing…..

Who?
Ricky is the name of this gorgeous boy on my card, from Tiddly Inks.

Ricky comes with two frames as well, and I have used the Polaroid frame, and wanting to keep it clean and simple, I mounted it onto a white card base.  The strip of fishing paper along the bottom comes from my stash, and Ricky has been coloured using Copic markers.
You can find the Digi image by clicking here.

Happy stamping!
