Today is the first time this year that I am taking part in the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.
Each week some of the members of the Art with Heart Team share their talent and ideas with some wonderful Christmas inspiration.
My card today uses some of the Sentiment Christmas Suite, including the gorgeous Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper. So yummy!!
These are in the Mini Catalogue which goes live in just two days time, on the 4th September, 2024.
The stocking image is stamped with Stazon ink onto Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper, and watercoloured with inks and a Water Painter.
Over the top of the white areas of the stocking, I have added some silver Metallic Enamel Effects which I have brushed on.
The layer of Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper has been distressed around the edges and sponged with some Crumb Cake ink, and then adhered to a Pretty Peacock cardbase. Before I added the stocking, I lightly flicked some white craft ink onto the paper but it doesn’t show up well in the photo. I have also added some dots of gold Metallic Enamel Effects onto the paper and also a couple on the stocking image and the bow.

Well, I’m off to check for this paper in the catalogue, it is gorgeous. Your stocking is coloured beautifully, infact so well, I thought it was from a Ephemera pack! All the metallic enamel effects are lovely too.

Wow Chris what an amazing watercoloured stocking it does look like you die cut from the DSP. I love the distressed DSP panel edged with Crumb Cake ink to add a vintage look.

The edge of your panel looks like it’s been edged with something other than just Crumbcake…..looks metallic embossed or something.Pls clarify…….pretty card!Thanks,BethSent from my iPad

Hi Beth, the edges of the paper have been distressed, so I’ve used an open pair of sharp scissors to rough up the edges, then inked with Crumb Cake. So no embossing or metallics on the edge.

A really gorgeous Christmas card Christina! I love the little extra touches to your Sentimental Christmas background paper, and your colouring of the stocking image is so well done. This is a favourite paper of mine too. I have more on the way!! I’m tempted to get the bundle now too.
