NEW! January Class in the Mail

With global shipping issues starting to effect all businesses, including Stampin’ Up! especially here in Australia, we need to start looking at ways to continue creating beautiful cards and projects, both for our own enjoyment and creativity, but also to help others who may be needing something to smile about.

My class is designed to show you how you can use any Designer Series Paper you have (or can get) to make beautiful cards, and how one design can look completely different using different Designer Series Papers.
This class has 4 different designs, and you will make 2 cards from each design with different Designer Series Papers.
This is one of the projects using the gorgeous Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper “Friendly Hello”.

Since this is the first Class in the Mail that I have done for about 10 years!! please be patient with me, I am still figuring out how to get everything working smoothly.

And here is my challenge to you today, send or give a card as a Random Act of Kindness (RAK), and put a smile on someone’s face, you just never know how much of a difference that could make. Go for a walk around your neighbourhood and put a card in someone’s letterbox, just saying hi, even if you don’t sign it. We need to come together and support each other and our individual communities to get through this difficult time, so let’s make a card, and then give a card.

We will make 6 cards using the Timeless Talk stamp set.
Wed 12th Feb at 7.30pm at my place.  Please bring your own adhesives and envelopes are not provided.  Cost is $18 per person.

Date change for Stamp-a-Stack

Just a very quick update today, I have been unwell over the past few days and as a result will be changing the date of the Christmas in July Stamp-a-Stack.  Here are the details:

**Wed 24th July at 7.30pm** Please take note of the change of date!
Make 6 cards (3 of 2 designs).  This fun class will help you to get a head start on your Christmas cards this year!  $18 includes all materials except adhesives and envelopes.  Please bring your own adhesives or contact me in advance to purchase some.  Beginners most welcome!

Bright Birds

I love this technique, and how bright and cheery these cards have turned out!

These are really easy to make and so quick that you can easily make up a batch as a gift for someone.

These ones use the International Bizarre patterned papers and the For the Birds stamp set, and I have highlighted the colours Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango.  Of course, they would look great using any of the gorgeous Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers.

And because they are so quick and simple, I have had a request to run a class on this set of cards.  So instead of my Card Kit night on the 1st Feb, we will be making this cute set of cards.  Cost will be $15 and includes all materials, but do contact me asap to book your place as seats are limited.

Card Kit Nights

I am excited to announce my new Card Kit Nights, starting on the 1st of February and running on the first Friday of every month.  Here are the details:

Do you like to make your own cards, but don’t have the time to do all the cutting and preparation?  Do you have some experience in stamping and card making?
Why not come along to my monthly Card Kit Night?

When: On the first Friday of the month, from 7.30 – 9.30pm
(Dates: 1st Feb, 1st Mar, 5th April, 3rd May, 7th June, 5th July, 2nd Aug, 6th Sept, 4th Oct, 1st Nov, 6th Dec)

Where: My house in Melba – (directions provided when you book in)

How does it work: I will make up card kits from various different Stampin’ Up! products.  In each kit there will be everything you need to make a card, all you need to do is stamp and put it together in your own design.  You can use my tools, stamps and inks, and other materials will be available for purchase. Please bring your own adhesive or let me know if you need to purchase some.

Cost: $2.50 per card kit – make as many or as few as you wish in 2 hours.

Mixed Bunch Class

Come along and make these four cards, featuring the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set, Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set and using the “stamping off” technique.

This class is definitely suitable for complete beginners or for experienced stampers.  Places are limited and bookings are essential.

Dates: Thursday 7th June 2012 at 10.30am or 7.30pm.  I may also run this class at 2.00pm on Saturday 9th June if there is enough interest (keeping in mind that it is a long weekend).

Cost: $18, includes everything to make your cards plus envelopes, tea and coffee.  There will also be  lucky door prizes and all orders over $50 placed at the class will not pay shipping costs.
